CODE BY AMENDING ARTICLE IX TH,:REOF CREATING CHANGES
IN DISTRICT BOUNDARIES AND BY AMENDING ~W~:~.T NUMBER 44
OF THE DISTRICTING MAP TO SHOW 'i'M RECLASSIFICATION.
WHEREAS, the Pl~nnlng Comm1 ssion of the City of Santa Aha has
given notice of public hearings as required by law and has duly held two
public hearings in connection with the application for change of District
Classification and by Resolution Number 621 rmcommended to the City Council
for adoption the change hereinbelow set out; and
WHEREAS, the City Council gave due and regular notice of public
hearing and such public hearing has been regularly held and the Council does
now find that public necessity, convenience, and general welfare require the
following amendment and change in the present classification of the real prop-
erty hereinafter described and that the uses under the proposed new classifi-
cation will not be detrimental to the surrounding property;
NOW, T~m~REFORE, T~ CITY COUNCIL OF T,,: CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION i. That the real property in the City of Santa Ana, County
of Orange, State of California, described as:
Bounded on the North by a line 4~2.4 feet South of Chestnut
Avenue, on the West by the Southern Pacific Railroad, on the East
by the Atch&son, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad and McClay Street
and on the South by a line 1561.71 feet South of Chestnut Avenue
be reclassified as follows:
From the R-1 District to the M-2 District:
Parcel ~l.
14 Acres in NE 1/4 Section 18, Township 5 South, Range 9 West,
S.B.B.&/~., bounded on the North by a line 482.4 feet South of
Chestnut Avenue, on the West by the Southern Pacific Railroad,
and on the East by the Atclz~son, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad,
and on the South by a line 1203.70 feet South of Chestnut Avenue
Parcel~2.
9.61 Acres in the NE 1/4 of Section 18, Township 5 South,
Range 9 West, S.B.B.&~4. bounded on the North by a line 1203.70
feet South of Chestnut Avenue, on the West by the Southern Pacific
Railroad, on the East by the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Rail-
road, and on the South by a line 1561.71 feet South of Chestnut
Avenue, excepting the East 150 feet; and the South 120 feet.

and that Sheet Number 44 of the Districting Map of Article IX of the
Santa Aha Municipal Code be amended to show such reclassification.
SECTION 2. The Clerk of the Council shall certify to the passage
of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published within 15 days
after its adoption, in one issue of the Santa Aha Independent, the official
newspaper of the City. This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days from and
after the date of its final adoption.
