the City Council of the City of Santa Ana did on April 5,
1954, By Resolution No. 54-39, declare its intention to --~x certain un-
inhabited territory, which said Resolution was regularly published in the
Santa Ana Independent and the Tustin News as required by law, and which said
Resolution gave due notice of public hearing to be held on the 17th day of
May, 1954; and

NOW, ','n~wORE, ','.~. CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1, That after due hearing regularly held in all respects
as required by law and as more particularly shown in the files of this pro-
ceeding, we do find and ordain that there was no protest to the annexation of
the territory herein described; that due and regular notice of the' time and
place of hearing was given, and that said territory was wholly:uninhabited at
the tt~ the petition for a~nexati~n was filed; that said territory is con-
tiguous to the City of Sauta Aha, California.
SECTION 2, That all of the ,mtuhahited territory situated

A portion of Section 23, Township 5 South, Range 10 West,
Rancho Santiago de Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California,
described as follows:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of said Section 23, being
also an angle point in the City l~mtts of the City of Santa Ana,
at the intersection of the center line of Bristol Street with the
center line of Delhi Road to the East, and r,m~tng thence North
0° ~0' 45" East 2,674.59 feet along the East line of said Section 23
and the Westerly boundary of the City of Santa Ana, to the Northeast
corner of the Southeast quarter of said Section 23; thence South
89° 30' 00" West 1,327.33 feat along the North line of said South-
east quarter to the Northwest corner of the North one-half of the
Northeast Q,,awter of the Southeast quarter of said Section 23;
thence South 89° 39' 35" West 426.87 feet to a point in a line
which produced Westerly terminates at the Southwest corner of that
certain parcel of land conveyed to R. M. Long by deed recorded in
Book 51, Page 69, of Deeds, Records of Los Angeles County, California,
said point and line being distant on said produced line North 89° 39' 35"
East 900.33 feet from said Southwest corner of Long parcel; thence
South 12° 20' 35" East 63~.38 feet to a point in the center
line of the Delhi Drainage District ditch; thence South 4° 11' 55"
East 55.29 feet to the Eorthwest corner of that certain parcel
of land conveyed to Charles O. Norton by deed recorded June 5,
1936, in Book 826, Page 328, of Official Records of said Orange
County, as shown on said Record of Survey; thence South 0° 10' 35"
East 1,990.85 feet along the West line of said Norton parcel to
the South line of said Section 23 at a point distant thereon
Westerly 1,600.00 feet from said Southeast cor~er of Section 23;
thence North 89° 48' 45" East 1,600.00 feet along said South llne
of Section 23 to the Southeast corner thereof, being the point of
beginning of the parcel described herein,
be amd the same is hereby -nnexed to and sh~ 1 become a part of the City of
Santa Ann, and the annexation of said territory is by this Ordinance effected,
approved, and declared to take effect from and after the effective date of
this Ordinance.
~ECTION 3. The Clerk of the Council shall certify to the passage
of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published ~ithin 15 days
after its adoption, in one issue of the Santa Aha Independent, the official
newspaper of th6' City. This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days from and
after the date of its final adoption.
