MUNICIPAL CODE CREATING CHANGES IN DISTRICT BOUNDARIES
AND AMENDING SHEET NO. 27 AND ADDING SHEET NO. 50 OF TEE
DISTRICTING MAP TO SHOW THE RECLASSIFICATION
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of Santa Ana has given notice of
and duly held two public hearings in connection with an application for
change of District Classification and by Resolution No. 720 recommended to
the City Council the change requested; and
WHEREAS, the City Council gave due notice of and regularly held a
public hearing on said application and does now find that public necessity,
convenience and general welfare require the following amendment and that the
uses under the new classification will not be detrimental to the surrounding
property.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN
~ FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the rea& property in the City of Santa ~_ua~ County
of Orange, State of California, described as:
A portion of the South 1/2 of the Southeast 1/4 of Section 10,
Township 5 South, Range l0 West, S.B.B. &Mo Beginning at the inter-
section of the Westerly line of the City of Santa Ana with the
Southerly line of said Section 10, said point of intersection being
in the center line of First Street and distant 1224.29 ft. westerly
from the Southeast corner of said Section lO; thence running North
23°~9' 30" East along the said westerly lin~ of the City of Santa
Ana, 713.56 ft. to a point; thence North 89v 14' 03" West, 1070 ft.,
more or less, to a point in the Easterly boundary of the 400 ft.
right-of-way for the Santa Ana River channel; thence Southwesterly
along said Easterly boundary of the Santa Arm River channel to a
point in the center line of First Street; thence East ~long said
center line of First Street, 1038.54 ft. to the point of beginning;
be reclassified from R-1 District to the M-1 District and that the Districting
Map of Article IX of the Santa~maMunicipal Code be amended to show such re-
classification by amending Sheet Noo 27 and adding Sheet No. 50.
SECTION 2. The Clerk of the Council shall certify to the passage of
this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published, within 15 days after
its adoption, in one issue of the Santa Aha Independent. This Ordinance shall
take effect 30 days from and after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha at its
regular meeting held on the ~rd day of January, 1955o
