NS-8~ DECLARING T~ ANNEXATION OF THAT CERTAIN TERRITORY DESIGNATED "LIBRASCOPE ANNEX" WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Sant~ Ana did on January 3, 1955, declare its intention to annex certain uninhabited territory by Resolution No. 55-6, which said Resolution was regularly published in the Santa Ana Inde- pendent and Orange Daily News as required by law, and which said Resolution gave due notice of public hearing to be held on February 7, 1955; and WHEREAS, at said hearing there were no objections or protests to said proposed annexation; · NOW, THEREFORE, 'I'H~ CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION lo That after due hearing regularly held in all respects as required by law and as more particularly shown in the files of this proceeding, it finds that there was no protest to the annexation of the territory herein described, that due notice of the time and place of hearing was given; that said territory was wholly uninhabited at the time the petition for annexation was filed; th~ said territory is contiguous to the City of Santa Arm, California; that written consent, of ell the oWners was filed ~bh the Clerk of the Council prior to the adoption of this Ordinance, agreeing that all property within said territory shall be taxed to pay any indebtedness or liability of said City contracted prior to or existing at the time of annexation and that said property s~l 1 be so taxed. SECTION 2. That all of the territory situated in the County of Orange, State of California, described as: Beginning at a point in the North line of the Southwest quarter of Section Thirty, Township 'Five South, Range Nine West, S.B.B.~M., said point being at the Northwest corner of the Seccombe Addition to Dyer, as shown on a Map recorded in Book 8, page 17, of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California; thence South O° 30' 00" East along the West line of said Seccombe Addition, 668.65 feet to an intersection with the Easterly extension of the South line of South Santa Aha Place, as shown on a Map recorded in Book 5, page 50 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California; thence North 89° 45' 00" West along said extension 322100 feet to a point; thence North O° 30' 00" West, parallel to the West line of said Seccombe Addition, 668.65 feet to a point in the North line of the Southwest quarter of said Section Thirty; thence South 89° 45' 00" East along said North line 322.00 feet to the point of beginning~ be and the same is hereby annexed to and shall become a part of the City of Santa Ana, the Santa ;ma Elementary School District, Santa ~na High School District, and Santa ~_ua Junior College District, and said annexation is by this Ordinance effected, approved and declared to take effect from and after the effective date of this Orddn~Bce. ~ECTION 3. The Clerk of the Council shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published, within 15 days after its adoption~ in one issue of the Santa Aha Independent~ the official newspaper of the City.
