the City Council of the City of Saat~ Aha did on February 7,
1955, declare its 'intention to annex certain uninhabited territory by Resolution
No. 55-33, which said Resolution was regularly published in the Saut~ Aha
Independent and Orange Daily News as required by law,1 ~d which said Resolution
gave due notice of public hearing to be held on March 2_l, 1955; and
~, at said hearing there were no objections or protests to saia
proposed annexation;
NOW, 'I'~)HE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF T~ CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES OP~AIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That after due hearing regularly held in .11 respects as
required by law and as more particularly shown in the files of this proceeding,
it finds that there was no protest to the annexation of the territory herein
described, that due notice of the t~me and place of hearing was given; that
said territory was wholly uninhabited at the tfme the petition for annexation
was filed; that said territory is contiguous to the City of Santa Aha,
California; that written consent, of all the owners was filed with the Clerk
Of the council prior to the adoption of this Ordinance, agreeing that all
property within said territory sba11 be taxed to pay any indebtedness or
liability of said City contracted prior to or existing at the time of annexation
and that said property shall be so taxed.
SECTION 2. That ~11 of the territory situated in the County of Orange,
State of California, described as:
Beginning at an angle point on the bounm-~y line of the City of
Santa AnaNorth2~° 23' 00"; East 713.46 feet from a point on the
North line of Section 15, T. 5 S., R. lOW., S.B.B.& M. 1224.25
feet Westerly from the Northeast corner of said Section 15; thence
North89° 42' 00" W. 338.70 recta long said City Bou~lary to a
point; thence North 23° 23' lC" E. 741.01 feet to the center line
of Fifth Street; thence North89° 35' 00" East along the center
line of Fifth Street 77.17 feet to a point; thence ~outh 73° 33'
15" East along the center line of Fifth Street 2~5.02 feet to the
City Bouna-~y; thence South 27° 38' 45" West 31.00 feet along said
City Boundemy to a point; thence South 23° 23' 00" West along
said City Boundary 638.04 feet to the point of beginning.
All bearings and distances are as shown on a licensed Sur-
veyor's M~p filed in Book 28, Page 36, of Record of Survey in the
Office of the County Recorder of Or-nge County, California~
be and the same is hereby annexed to and shall become a part of the City of
~anta Ana~ the Santa Aha Elementary School District, Sauta Aha High School Dis-
trict, and ~nta Aha Junior College District, and said annexation is 'by this
Ordinance effected, approved aud decl-~ed to take effect from and after the
effective date of this Ordinance.
S~CTION 3. The Olerk of the Council sb-~l 1 certify to the passage of
this Ordinance and sb.11 cause the same to be published, within 15 days after
its adoption, in one issue of the Santa Aha Independent, the official news-
paper of the City. This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days from and after
the date of its final ~doption.
