NS-106 DECLARING THE ANNEXATION OF THAT CERTAIN TERRITORY DESIGNATED "STEPHEN GRISET ANNEX" WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana did on April 18, 1955, declare its intention to annex certain uninhabited territory by Resolution No. 55-110, which said Resolution was regu- larly published in the Santa Ana Independent and Orange Daily News as required by law, and which said Resolution gave due notice of public hearing to be held on June 6, 1955; and W}iE~EAS, at said hearing there were no objections or protests to said proposed annexation; NON, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF S~TA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That after due hearing regularly held in all re- spects as required by law and as more particularly shown in the files of this proceeding, it finds that there was no protest to t he mu nex- ation of the territory herein described, that due notice of the time and place of hearing was given; that said territory was wholly unin- habited at the time the petition for annexation was filed; that said territory is contiguous to the City of Santa Ana, California; that written consent, of all the owners was filed with the Clerk of the Council prior to the adoption of this Ordinance, agreeing that all property within said territory shall b e taxed to pay any indebted- ness or liability of said City contracted prior to or existing at the time of annexation and that said property shall b e so t axed. SECTION 2. That all of the territory situated in the County of Orange, State of California, described as: That portion of Sections 22 and 23, Township 5 South, Range l0 West, S.B.B. & M., described as follows: Beginning at a point in the West line of the Southwest quarter of the Northeast quarter of said Section 23, said point being located 1071.21 feet South 0° 43' 40" West from the Northwest corner of the said Southwest quarter of the North- east quarter of Section 23, said point being in the Southerly line of the City of Santa Ana at a point 10.35 feet South 89° 29' 40" West from an angle point therein; thence South 0° 43' 40" West 243.56 feet along the Westerly line of said Southwest quarter to an axle marking the Southwest corner of that cer- tain parcel of land described in deed recorded in Book Page b9, Deeds, Records of Los Angeles County, California; thence North 89° 39' 35" East 869.66 feet along the South line of said land described in deed recorded in Book 51, Page 69 of Deeds, Records of Los Angeles County, California; thence South 12° 20' 35" East 638.61 feet; thence South 4° ll' 5~" East 51.50 feet; thence South 88° 57' 00" West 1019.52 feet to a point in the East line of the Kueffel and Fletcher Tract as shown on a map recorded in Book 19, Page 48, Niscellaneous Rec- ords of Los AngelesCounty, California; thence South 0° 54' 20" East 5.00 feet along the East line of said Kueffel and Fletcher Tract to the Southeast corner of the North 100.00 acres of said Kueffel and Fletcher Tract; thence South 89° 00' 40" West ll0?.61 feet; thence South 0° 32' 30" West 1181.99 feet; thence South 88° 48' 50" West 1672.?4 feet to a point in the West line of Fairview Road, formerly known as 01d Newport Road; thence North 15o 05' 40" East 859.18 feet along the West line of said Fairvlew Road; thence South 89° 04, 13~ West ??0.45 feet to a point in the Easterly line of Lot 2 of Tract 1024, as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 33, Page 33, Niscellaneous Naps, Records of Orange County, California; thence North 15e 05' 40" East 1162.36 feet along the Easterly line of said Lot 2 to the Northeast corner thereof, said point being in the Southerly line of Tract ~06, as per map thereof recorded in Book l?, Pages 26 and 27, Niscellaneous Naps, Records of Orange County, California; thence North 89° 06' 40" East 7?0.29 feet along the South line of said Tract 506 to a point being on the West line of said Fairview Road; thence North 15° 05' 40" East 209.28 feet along said West line to the Westerly extension of the South line of Tract 73?, as per map thereof recorded in Book 22, Page 42, Niscellaneous Naps, Records of Orange County, California; thence North 89° 29' 40" East 295.60 feet to the Southeast corner of Lot 12, Block D, said Tract ?3?; thence North 0° 30' 20" West 31.13 feet to the Northeast corner of said Lot 12; thence North 89° 29' 40" East 660.00 feet along the Northerly lines of Lots 8 and 16 in Block E, and Lots 8 and 16 in Block F, of said Tract ?37 and the ex- tension thereof, to a point in the East line of Center Street as conveyed to the County of Orange by deed recorded in Book 915, Page 153, Official Records of Orange County, California; thence South 0° 30' 20" East 31.13 feet; thence North 89° 29' 40" East 62.03 feet to an angle point in the City Limit of the City of Santa Ana; thence continuing North 89° 29' 40" East 1205.12 feet along the Southerly line of the City of Santa Ana to the point of beginning. All bearings are as shown on a licensed Surveyor's map filed in Book 28, Page 47 of Records of Survey in the office of the County Recorder of Orange County, California, be and the same is hereby annexed to and shall become a part of the City of Santa Ana, the Santa Ana Elementary School District, Santa Ana High School District, and Santa Ana Junior College District, and said annexation is by this Ordinance effected, approved and declared to take effect from and after the effective date of this Ordinance. SECTION 3- The Clerk of the Council shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published -2- within 1~ days after its adoption, in one issue of the Santa Ana Independent. This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days from and after the date of its final adoption.
