BY ADDING NEW SECTION8 TO CHAPTER 2, ARTICIE III THEREOF, WA_
TABLI~ING ONE-WAY STREETS IN THE CITY OF SANTA AHA
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS ~.'
SECTION 1. That Chapter 2 of Article III of the Santa Aha ~icipal Code
be and the same is hereby amended by adding at the end thereof, new Sections
Numbered 3260, 3261 and 3262 in words and figures as follows:
"SECTION 3260. One-way Streets Established.
There is hereby established, a system of one-way streets witb~ the City
of ~ta Aha, California for the purpose of relieving traffic congestion and
expediting the orderly flow of traffic in said City.
"SECTION 3261. 8ams. Manner of Designating.
The Council may, by Resolution, designate any street or alley within the
City as a one-way street and said Resolution shall designate the one specified
~ection in ~ich vehicles thereon ms~ lawfully be moved. Provided, however,
that no such Resolution shall become effective until the Director of Public
Works b~e caused signs, giving notice of the fact that wh~clas thereon are
required to move in one specified direction only, to he posted at all entran-
ces to the street or h~hway or part thereof affected by such Resolution.
Said signs shall indicate the direction of lawful traffic movems~t.
"SECTION 3262. Saw~.. Violation of One-way Traffic Prohibited.
Upon those highways, streets, alleys and parts thereof designated in amy
Resolution adopted under authority of Section 3261 hereof and Section 459 of
the Vehicle Code requiring one-wa~ traffic on,v, in the indicated direction
and ~hon signs indicating the direction of traffic have been erected as pro-
vided for herein, movement of any vehicle in the opposite direction is pro-
hibited. No person shall operate any vehicle in violation of any signs dasig-
hating one-way streets as herein provided for, ~hich have been placed as here-
in authorized."
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha at its ragu-
