HomeMy WebLinkAboutNS-114OP~D~iJL~CE NO. ~3--li4 DECL~R~G THE ~I~[~TION OF THAT CE~A~ ~, th~ City Co~ucil of the City of Sauta Aha did on May 16, 1955 de- clare its intention to annex certain mninhabited tsrritory by Rasolution No. which said Resolution was regularly published as required.by law, and which said Resolution gave due notice of public hearing to be held on July 5, 1955; and W~ at said hearing there were no objections or protests to said pro- posed annemation; NOW, THErEFOrE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY ~ SANTA ANA D(~S OP~AIN AS FOLLO~: SECTION 1. That after due hearing, it finds that there was no protest to the annexation of the territory herein ~escribed, that ~ue notice of the time and place of hearing was given; that said te~wltory was wholly u~habited at the time the petition for annexation was filed; that said territory is contiguous to the City of Sant~ Ana, California; that written consent of all the o~mers was filed with the Clerk of the Council prior to the adoption of this Ordinance, agreeing that all prop- erty within said territory shall be taxed to pay any indebtedness or liability of said City contracted prior to or existing at the time of annexation and that said property shall be so tammd. SEOTI~I 2. That ~ll of the territory situated in the County of Orange, State of California, described as: That portion of the land allotted to F. W. Koll in a partition of the Rancho Santiago de Santa Aha, recorded in Book B of Judgments of the 17th Judicia~ Court of Los Angeles County, State of in the County of Orange, State of California, described as follows: Beginning at a point in the Westerly l~e of the Pacific Electric Railroad right of way, 40 feet in width, as shown on a Record of Survey recorded in Book 29, Page 13, filed in the office of the County cordar of Orange County, distant thereon North 0° 32' 37" East 0.37 feet from the Easterly prolongation of the center line of Hobart Street, said point being also a point in the Easterly I/ne of Tract No. 266, as recorded in Book 13, page 39, of Misce]la~.eous Maps of said County, said point being also a point in the boundary line of the City of Santa Aha; thence Northerly along said Easterly l~e of said Tract No. /66, said line bei~ also a portion of the boundary line of said City of Santa; Aha Nort~ O° 32' 37" East 324.43 feet; thence Easterly along said boundary line of_said City of Santa Ar~ North 89° 09' 39" East 2187.35 feet to a point in the Easterly line of Stan~wd Avenue, 60 feet in width; %hence leaving said beun~y line of said City of Santa Ama Southerly along said Easterly ~4ne of said Stan~d Avenue South 0° 34' 13# We~t 327.84 feet; thence Westerly parallel to the center line of McFadden Street as said center line is shown on the map of Tract No. 16.76 recorded in Book 49, page 6 of Miscellaneous Maps of said County South 89° 15~ 00" Wear 2187.12 feet to the point of begin- ming. Containing 16.37 acres. Ail bearings and distances are as shown on a licensed Surveyor,s Map filed in Book 29, Page 13 of Records of Survey in the Office of the County Recorder of Orange County, Califormia, be and the same is hereby annexed to and sh~] ] become a part of the City of Santa Ana~ the Santa Aha Elementary School District, Santa Aha High School District and Santa Ama Junior College District, and said ann~-~ation is by this Ordinance ef- fected, approved and declared. SECTION 3. The Clerk of the Council shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published with&n 15 days after its adoption, in one issue of the Santa Aha Independent. This Ordinance shall ta~e effect 30 days from and after the date of its final adoption.
