CERTAIN TERRITORT D'ESIGNA~-ED "FREEWAY ANNEX"
WHEP~EAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Arm did on June 20, 1955
declare its intention to annex certain uninhabited territory by Resolution No.
55-193, w hich said Resolution was regularly published as required by law, and
which said Resolution gave due notice of public hearing to be held on August 1,
1955; and
WHEP~EAS, at said hearing there were no objections or protests to said pro-
posed annexation;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That after due hearing, it finds that there was no protest to
the annexation of the territory herein described, that due notice of the time and
place of hearing was given; that said territory was wholly uninhabited at the time
the petition for annexation was filed; that said territory is contiguous to the
City of Santa Aha, California; that written consent of all the owners was filed
with the Clerk of the Council prior to the adoption of this Ordinance~ agreeing
that all property within said territory shall be taxed to pay any indebtedness or
liability of said City contracted prior to or existing at the time of annexation
and that said property shall be so taxed.
SECTION 2. That all of the territory situated in the County of Orange,
State of California, described as:
That certain portion of the Potts, Borden and Sidwell Tract recorded
in Book 4, Page 624, of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County,
State of California, described as follows:
Beginning at the Northeast Corner of Tract 1939, as shown on a map re-
corded in Book 65, Pages 10, 11 and 12 of Miscellaneous Maps in the Of-
fice of the Recorder of the County of Orange, said point being also an
angle point in the boundary line of the City of Santa Aha; thence S 89°
59' 40" W, 1,259.87 feet along the Northerly boundary line of said Tract
1939 and the Northerly boundary line of the City of Santa Aha to the
Southwest Corner of Lot 19 of said Potts, Borden and Sidwell Tract; thence
leaving said boundary line of the City of Santa Aha, S 89° 55' 20" W,
862.62 feet along the South line of Lot 20 of said Ports, Borden and Sid-
well Tract to the Southwest corner of said Lot 20; thence N 10° 44' 27" E,
673.94 feet along the Westerly line of said Lot 20 to an angle point, said
angle point being also the common corner of Lots 20, 22 and 29 of said
Potts, Borden and Sidwell Tract; thence N O0° 54' 56" W, 389.57 feet along
the Easterly boundary of the Orange County Flood Control District right-of-
way as described in Book 965, Page 566, of Official Records of Orange
County; thence continuing Northeasterly along said right-of-way along a curve
concave Southeasterly and having a radius of 1,942.00 feet and central angle
o.f 16° 01' 30", 543.i6 feet to a poin% o~f tangency to said curve$ thence con-
tinuing on said right-of-way, N 39° 54' 40" E, 307.25 feet to a point on the
Southwesterly right-of-, ~w~ line of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company' s
right-Of-way; thence S 41 02' 00" E, 1,435.99 feet along said Southwesterly
right-of-way line to the Southeast Corner of Lot 22 of said Potts, Borden
and Sidwell Tract; thence continuing S 41° 02' 00" E, 879.20 feet along said
Southwesterly right-of-way line to the point of beginning.
Ail bearings and distances as shown on a Record of Survey filed in Book 29
Page 24 of Records of Survey, County of Orange,
be and the same is hereby annexed to and shall become a part of the City of Santa Aha,
the Santa Aha Elementary School District, Santa Ana High School District and Santa
Aha Junior College District, and said annexation is by this Ordi~ce effected, ap-
proved and declared.
SECTION 3. The Clerk of the Council shall certify to the passage of this
Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published within 15 days after its adoption,
in one issue of the Santa Ana Independent. This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days
from and after the dabe of its final adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ama at its regu-
lar meetim~ held on the 15th day of August , 1955.
