SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL C'ODE TO IMPOSE A ONE PER CE~T SALES TAX
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Section 2410 of the Santa Aha Municipal Code is hereby
amended to read as follows:
"SECTION 2410. I~position and Rate of Tax.
For the privilege of selling tangible personal property at retail a
tax is hereby i~posed upon all retailers at the rate of one per cent of
the gross receipts of any retailer from the sale of all tangible personal
property sold at retail in the City on or after October 1st, 1955. The
license tax imposed by the provisions of this Part is in addition to any
and all other taxes imposed by the City."
SECTION 2. The Clerk of the Council shall certify to the passage of this
Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published, within 15 days after its
adoption, in one issue of the Santa Ana Independent. This Ordinance shall ta~e
effect 30 days from and after the date of its adoption.
