THAT CERTAIN T~RITORY DESIGNATED "INDUSTRIAL ANNEX"
WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Santa Ana did on
July 18, 1955 declare its intention to annex certain uninhabited ter-
ritory by Resolution No. 55-207, which said Resolution was regularly
published as required by law, and which said Resolution gave due
notice of public hearing to be held on September 6, 1955; and
WHEREAS, at said hearing there were no objections or protests
to said proposed annexation;
NOW, ~{EREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF T!tE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLL0'~S:
SECTION 1. That after due hearing, it finds that there was
no protest to the annexation of the territory herein described, that
due notice of the time and place of hearing was given; that said ter-
ritory was wholly uninhabited at the time the petition for annexation
was filed; that said territory is contiguous to the City of Santa Ana,
California; that written consent of all the owners was filed with the
Clerk of the Council prior to the adoption of this Ordinance, agree-
lng that all property within said territory shall be taxed to pay any
indebtedness or liability of said City contracted prior to or existing
at the time of annexation and that said property shall be so taxed.
SECTION 2. That all of the territory situated in the County
of Orange, State of California, described as:
Beginning at the intersection of the Westerly line of
Standard Avenue, 60.00 feet in width, as described in a
deed to Orange. County, California, and recorded October 22nd,
1930, in Book 423, page 368 of Official Records, with the
South line of Section 18, Township 5 South, Range 9 West,
S.B.B. & M., thence Easterly along the South line of said
Section 18, and along the boundary line of the City of Santa
Ana to the cmmmon corners of Sections 17, 18, 19, and 20,
Township 5 South, Range 9 West, S.B.B. & M., thence South
along the West line of said Section 20, 5 chains; thence
Easterly along the boundary of the City of Santa Ana to an
angle point in said boundary line, thence Southerly a dis-
tance of 4930.0o feet more or less to a point on the North
line of Delhi Road 40.00 feet in width, said point being a
distance of 266.94 Feet, more or less, Westerly measured along
said North line of Delhi Road from the Center line of Newport
Avenue, said Newport Avenue being 60.00 feet in width, thence
Westerly along the Northerly line of said Delhi Road 1592.00
feet, more or less, to the Easterly line of McClay Street,
said line being a distance of 25.00 feet measured at right
angles East from the center line of said McClay Street,
thence Northerly along the Easterly llne of said McClay
Street 10.00 feet, more or less, to the Easterly prolonga-
tion of the Northerly line of Delhi Road, thence Westerly
along the Northerly line of said Delhi Road and its Easterly
prolongation a distance of 622.25 feet more or less to the
Easterly line of land described in a deed to Union Iron &
Steel Co., a partnership, recorded January 14th, 1952 in Book
2273,' page 46~ of Official Records of Orange County, Califor-
nia, thence Northerly along the Easterly. line of said land
of Union Iron & Steel Co. a distance of b99.3 feet more or
less to the Southerly line of Tract No. 68~, as shown on a
Nap recorded in Book 20, Page 20 of Miscellaneous ~aps, rec-
ords of Orange County, California, thence North 89° 19' 15"
West 597.3 feet more or less to the Easterly line of the
Southern Pacific Railroad ~ght of way, thence Northerly aloo~
the East llne of said Right of May 2373.32 feet more or less
to the Easterly prolongation of the North line of Block C of
Tract No. 696, as shown on a Map recorded in Book 20, Pages
45 and 46 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County,
California, thence Westerly along the North line of said
Block C and its Westerly prolongation to the Westerly line of
Standard Avenue, 80.00 feet in width as shown on said Map of
Tract No. 696, thence Northerly along said Westerly line of
Standard Avenue~2~24.54 feet more or less to the North line of
said Tract No. bgb, thence North 89° 14' 15" East along the
North line of said Tract No. 696 a distance of 10.00 feet more
or less, thence Northerly along the Westerly line of said
Standard Avenue 60.00 feet in width to the point of beginning,
be and the same is hereby annexed to and shall become a part of the
City of Santa Aha, the Santa Ana Elementary School District, Santa Ana
High School District and Santa Ana Junior College District, and said
annexation is by this Ordinance effected, approved and declared.
SECTION 3. The Clerk of the Council shall certify to the pas-
sage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published within
15 days after its adoption, in one issue of the Santa Ana Independent.
This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days from and after the date of
its final adoption.
