NS-I$$ DECLARING THE ANNEXATION OF THAT CERTAIN TERRITORY DESIGNATED "SCHOOL AND PARK ANNEX NO. 1" WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana did on September 6, 1955 declare its intention to annex certain uninhabited territory by Resolution No. 55-234, which said Resolution was regu- larly published as required by law, and which said Resolution gave due notice of public hearing to be held on October 17, 1955; and WHEREAS, at said hearing there were no objections or protests to said proposed annexation; NON, T~qEREFORE, T~TE CITY COUNCIL OF Tile CITY OF SANTA AKA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That after due hearing, it finds that there was no protest to the annexation of the territory herein described, that due notice of the time and place of hearing was given; that said ter- ritory was wholly uninhabited at the time the petition for annexation was filed; that said territory is contiguous to the City of Santa Ana, California; that written consent of all the owners was filed with the Clerk of the Council prior to the adoption of this Ordinance, agree- ing that all property within said territory shall be taxed to pay any indebtedness or liability of said City contracted prior to or existing at the time of annexation and that said property shall be so taxed. SECTION 2. That all of the territory situated in the County of Orange, State of California, described as: Beginning at a point on the Center line of Monta Vista Street 660.35 feet Westerly from the intersection of the center line of Monta Vista Street with the center line of . Raitt Street, in the City of Santa Ana, 'California, as shown on a map of Tract ~¢o. 2170 Recorded in Book 29 at Page 40 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County; running thence South 89° 50' 20" West along said center line of Monta Vista Street and the City boundary of the City of Santa Aha 691.05 feet to the intersection of the center line of said Monta Vista Street with the Northerly extension of the West line of Center Street; thence South 0° 15' 00" East along said West line of Center Street and its Northerly and Southerly extension 13 45.48 feet to the intersection of the West line of Center Street with the South line of Fairview Avenue; thence South 8~° 5?' 30" East along.said South line of Fairview Avenue and its Westerly extension 689.60 feet to the intersection of the South linc of Fairview Avenue with the Southerly extension of the East line of Lot 31 of Re-plat Santa Aha Acres as per map thereof recorded in Book 5 at Page ~ Nisccllaneous ~.~aps, Records of Orange County; thcnce North $ ll' 25" West along said East line of said Lot 31 and its Southerly and Mortherly extensions 1347.81 feet to the center line of ~onta Vista and point of beginning. Bearings and distances as calculated from a licensed Surveyor's Nap filed in Book 27 Page ~_ of Rccord of Survey in the Office of the County Recorder of Orange County, Cali- fornia, be and the smme is hereby annexed to and shall become a part of the City of Santa Ana, the Santa Ana Elementary School District, Santa Ana High School District and Santa Ana Junior College District, and said annexation is by this Ordinance effected, approved and declared, SECTION 3. The Clerk of the Council shall certify to the pas- sage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published within days after its adoption, in one issue of the Santa Ana Independent. This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days from and after the date of its final adoption.
