NS-165 PROHIBITING ~E THROWING OF WASTE IN THE STREETS AND THE SWEEPING OF SIDEWALK TRASH INTO THE GUTTERS THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That Chapter 8 of Article III of the Santa Ana Muni- cipal Code be ar~i the same is hereby amended by adding two new Sections to be numbered 3810 and 3811 "SECTION 3810. Deposit No person shall place, in words and figures as follows: of Trash etc. on Streets Prohibited. deposit or dump or cause the same to be done, any paper, cans, bottles, ashtray accumulations, refuse, trash or rubbish in or upon any public or private street within the City or occupied except in front of or adjacent to, property owned/by him and then only when the same be contained in a substantial box, carton, or container for the purpose of havinE the same collected by the rubbish collectors employed by the City. "SECTION 3811. No person shall sweep, push, propel or deposit or cause to be swept, pushed, propelled or deposited in any gutter or street in the City, the accumulation of paper, metal foil, trash or rubbish that accumulate~ upon public or private sidewalks or parkways." SECTION 2. The Clerk of the Council shall certify to the passage of th is Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published within 15 days after its adoption, in one issue of the Santa Ana Independent. This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days from and after the date of its final adoption.
