I~~153 DECLARING THE ANNEXATION 0F THAT CERTAIN TERRITORY DESIGNATED "NORTH OF HARVARD ANNEX" WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha did on February 20, 1956 declare its intention to annex certain uninhabited territory by Resolution No. 56-52, which said Resolution was regu- larly published as required by law, and which said Resolution gave due notice of public hearing to be held on Nay 7, 1956; and W~EREAS, at said hearing there were no objections or protests to said proposed annexation; NOW, TH~HEFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANADOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That after due hearing, it linde that there was no protest to the annexation of the territory herein described, that due notice of the time and place of hearing was given; that said territory was wholly uninhabited at the time the petition for annexation was filed; that said territory is contiguous to the City of Santa Aha, California; that w~itten consent of all the owners was filed with the Clerk of the Council prior to the adoption of this Ordinance, agree- ing that all property within said territory shall be taxed to pay any indebtedness or liability of said City contracted prior to or existing at the time of annexation and that said property shall be so taxed. SECTION 2. That all of the territory situated in the County of Orange, State of California, described as: Beginning at the Northwest corner of Tract No. ~2487, as shown on a map thereof, recorded in Book 80, Pages 47, 48 and 49 of Niecellaneous Naps, records of Orange County, State of Califor- nia, said point of beginning being an angle point in the cit Y boundary of the City of Santa Ana, California; thence South 15° 05' 40" West 1162.36 feet along said city boundary line to an angle point in said boundary; thence North 890 04, 13" East 770.45 feet along said city boundary to an angle point in said boundary and to the West line of Old Newport Road; thence South 15 05' 40" West 204.26 feet along said city boundary and along the West line and its extension of said 01d N~wport Road to the South line of Harvard Street; thence South 89 40' 00" West 1900.12 feet along said South line of Harvard Street; thence North 0° 30' 00" West 208.05 feet; thence North 15° 47' 53" East 2513.10 feet to a point on the arc of a curve concave Southwester- ly.havinga radius of 970.00 feet, a radial line through said pomnt bearing North ll° ll' 15" East, said curve being on the Southerly property line of Edinger Street, as described in Book 2115 Page 392 of Official Records of Orange County, thence Southeasterly along said curve to its point of intersection with the Southerly line of Edinger ~treet as shown on a map of Tract No. 1024 recorded in Book 33, Page 33 Miscellaneous Eaps, Records of Orange County; thence Southeasterly and East- erly along said South line of Edinger Street as shown on said map of Tract No. 1024 to a point on the arc of a curve concave Northeasterly having a radius of 1030 feet, said curve being on th? Southerly property line of Edinger Street as described in samd Book 2115, Page 392 of Official Records; thence South- easterly along said curve to a tangent line which bears North 89v 30' East; thence North 89° 30, East along said tangent line which is parallel with, and 30.00 feet Southerly, measured at right angles, from the center line of Edinger Street, 364.99 feet to the ¥~est line of Tract No. 506, as shown on a map there- of, recorded in Book 17, Pages 26 and 2?, Miscellaneous Naps, Records of Orange County; thence South 15° 16' 40" West 1299.75 feet along said West line of Trac$ No. 506 to the Southwest cor- ner of Tract 506; thence North 89~ 06' 40" East 391.00 feet along the South line of said Tract No. 506 to the point of be- ginning. Some bearings and distances as shown on a licensed Surveyor's map filed in Book 30 at Page 21, Record of Survey in the Office of the County Recorder of Orange County, California, be and the same is hereby sm~xed to and shall become a part of the City of Santa Ana, the Santa Ana Elementary School District, Santa Ana High School District and Santa Aha Junior College District, and said annexation is by this Ordinance effected, approved and declared. SECTION 3. The Clerk of the Council shall certify to the pas- sage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published within days after its adoption, in one issue of the Santa Ana Independent. This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days from and after the date of its final adoption.
