NS-193 DECLARING THE ANNEXATION 0P THAT CERTAIN TERRITORY DESIGNATED "SEGERSTROM ANNEX NO. 1" WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha did on May 21, 1956 declare its intention to annex certain uninhabited territory by Resolution No. 56-158, which said Resolution was regu- larly published as required by law, and which said Resolution gave due notice of public hearing to be held on July 2, 1956; and WHEREAS, at said hearing there were~no objections or protests to said proposed annexation; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF S~NTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That after due hearing, it finds that there was no protest to the annexation of the territory herein described, that due notice of the time and place of hearing was given; that said terri- tory was wholly uninhabited at the time the petition for annexation was filed; that said territory is contiguou~ to the City of Santa Aha, California; that written consent of all the owners was filed wi th the Clerk of the Council prior to the adoption o~ this Ordinance, agree- ing that all property within said territory shall be taxed to pay any indebtedness or liability of said City contracted prior to or existing at the time of annexation and that said property shall be SO taxed. SECTION 2. That all of the territory situated in the County of Orange, State of California, described as: Beginning at a point in the West line of Bristol Street, 80.00 feet wide, as shown on a map filed in Book 29, at page 15 of Record of Surveys, in the office of the County Recorder of Orange County, California, said point being distant North 0o 08, 40" East 200.06 feet from the inter- section of said West line with the North llne of the strip of land 80.00 feet wide, conveyed to H. E. Huntington, Trustee, now used as a railroad right of way, said point being in the existi_ng boundary line of the City of Santa Ana; thence South 0u 08' 40" West along said West line of Bristol Street and the Southerly extension thereof, 320.09 feet to a point in the South line of Talbert Avenue 40.00 feet wide; thence South 88° 44' 40'' West along said South llne, 3610.49 feet; thence North 1° 00' 10" West 1379.31 feet to a point in the North line of Lot 7, of the Williams Tract as shown on a map recorded in Book 30, at page 14 of Deeds, records of Los Angeles County, California; thence North 88° 53' 40" East along said North line, 1991.18 feet to the Northeast cor~er of said Lot 7; thence South 1° 03' 20" East along the East line of Lots 7 and 6 of said Williams Tract, 851.61 feet to the Northwest corner of Lot 3, of Tract No. 88, as shown on a map recorded in Book 10, at page 41 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of South 0° 51' 20" East 196.07 feet to a point in a line parallel with and distant 320.00 fee~ Northerly, measured at right angles, from said South line of Talbert Avenue; thence North 88° 44' 40" East along said parallel line, 959.20 feet to the point of beginning~ be and the same is hereby annexed to and shall become a part of the City of Santa Aha, the Santa Ana Elementary School District, Santa Aha High School District and Santa Ana Junior College District, and said annexation is by this Ordinance effected, approved and declared. SECTION 3- The Clerk of the Council shall certify to the pas- sage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published within 15 days after its adoption, in one issue of the Santa Aha Independe~t. This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days from and after the date of its final adoption.
