HomeMy WebLinkAboutNS-212ORDINANCE NO. ~S-217 A~ENDING ARTICLE IX OF THE SANTA ANA ~JN!CIPAL CODE CREATING CHANGES IN DISTRICT BOUNDARIES, AND AMENDING SHEETS NOS. 9 AND l0 OF THE DISTRICTING NAP TO SHOW THE RECLASSIFICATION W~TEREAS, the Planning Commission of Santa Aha has given notice of and duly held one public hearing in connection with Amendment Application No. 197 for change of District Classifica- tion, and recommended to the City Council the change requested; and W~tEREAS, the City Council gave due notice of and regularly held a public hearing on said application and does now find that public necessity, convenience and general we!fa~e require the fol- lowing amendment and that the uses under the new classification will not be detrimental to tile surrounding property, NOW, T!tEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the real property in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as: Portions of the Roso Soto allotment and Eastside Addition to Santa Ana and a part of Sections 7 and 8 of Township 5, Range 9, S.B.B. & M., more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point in the Southerly line of Lot One of East- side Addition to Santa Ana, as said Eastside Addition is laid out and shown on a map, recorded in Book l, pages 21 and 22 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California, said point being distant 150 feet easterly measured along said Southerly line from the East line of Grant Avenue as Grand Avenue is laid out and shown on said map of Eastside Ad- dition; thence Northerly along a line parallel with and dis- rant Easterly 150 feet, measured at right angles from the East line of said Grand Avenue to its intersection with the Southwesterly right of way line of the Ssnta Aha Freeway; thence Southeasterly along the Southwesterly right of way line of the Santa Ana Freeway 658.99 feet to a point; thence Southerly parallel to the Easterly line of said Grand Avenue; 116.82 feet to the Hortherly line of Fruit Street (60 feet in width); thence Southwesterly to the Northwest corner of Lot Sixteen of Tract No. 1285, as shown on a map recorded in Book 39, page 24 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California; thence Southerly along the Westerly line of said Tract No. 1285 to the Southerly line of Lot Two of said Eastside Addition to Santa Ana; thence Westerly along the Southerly line of Lots One and Two of said Eastside Ad- dition to the point of beginning, be reclassified from R-1 District to the R-3 District ~d that Sheets Nos. 9 and l0 of the Districting Map of Article IX of the Santa Ana Municipal Code be amended to show such reclassification. SECTION 2. The Clerk of the Council shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published within 15 days after its adoption in one issue of the Santa Ana Independent. This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days from and after the date of its adoption.
