NS-221 AMENDING ARTICLE IX OF ~ SANTA ANA MUNi~E CREATING CNANGES IN DIS- TRICT BOUNDARIES, AND AMENDING SHEETS NO. 16, 24, 29, 33 AND 37 OF THE DISTRICTING MAP TO SHOW THE RECLASSIFICATION WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of Santa Aha has given notice of and duly held a public hearing in connection with Amendment No. 200 initiated by said Commission for change of District Classification, and recomended to the City Council the changes herein set out; and the City Council gave due notice of and regularly held a public hearing on said application and does now find that public necessity, convenience and general welfare require the following amendment and that the uses under the new classifications will not be detrimental to the surrounding property; NOW, T~ORE, ','lil~ CITY COUNCIL OF '£~: CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the real property in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as: Strips of land fronting on the'North side of West First Street to a depth of 125 feet between a line 280 feet West of and parallel to the West line of North Olive Street and a line 161.9 feet East of and paral!el to the East line of North Baker Street and to a depth of 122 feet between a line 156 feet West of and parallel to the West line of NQrth Bristol Street and Western Avenue and front- ing on the South side of West First Street to a depth of 125 feet between Booth Street and South Baker Street and to a depth of llO feet between a line 170 feet West of and parallel to the West line of South Bristol Street and a line ~91 feet East of and parallel to Pacific Ave.i~and~.then to~a.de~th ef t59 feet to a line 920 feet east of and parallelt° South'A~tesia St. be reclassified from R-2 District to the C-1-PKDistrict, and A strip of land fronting on the North side of West First Street to a depth of 125 feet between a line 130 feet East of and parallel to the East line of North Olive Street and a line 280 feet West of and parallel to the West line of North Olive Street and a strip of land fronting on the South side of West First Street to a depth of 125 feet between a line 150 feet West of and parallel to the West line of South Flower Street and Booth Street, be reclassified from the R-3 District to the C-2-PK District, and that the exist- ing C-1 Districts described as: Strips of land fronting on the North side of West First to the alley in the rear between Birch Street and Garnsey Street; the block bounded by West First, North Flower, West Second and Garnsey Streets, except the Northeast corner thereof with 100 feet frontage on West Second Street and 125 feet frontage on Garnsey Street; the area bounded by West First Street, North Flower Street, West Second and a line 150 feet West of and parallel to the West line of North Flower Street; the area fronting on the South side of Nest'First Street to the alley in the rear between South Flower Street and a line 150 feet west of and parallel to the West line of South Flower Street; the block bounded by West First, Parton, West Walnut and Sou~h Flower Streets~ except a rectangle in the Southeast with 150 feet fronting on Parton Street and 370 feet fronting on the North side of West Walnut Street; the North 150 feet of the block bounded on the North by West First Street, on the East by Van Ness~Avenue and on the West by Parton Street; and a ~strip of land fronting on the South side of West First Street to a depth of 150 feet between Van Ness Avenue and Birch Street, and the existing C-2 Districts described as: A strip of land fronting on the North side of West First Street to a depth of 122 feet between Western Avenue and North Artesia Street; the area bounded by South Artesia Street on the West, West First Street on the North, a line 920 feet East of and parallel to the East line of South Artesia Street on the East and West Walnut Street and its Easterly extension on the South; a strip of land fronting on the South side of West First Street to a depth of l~O feet between a line ll8 feet East of and parallel to the East line of South Bristol Street and South Baker Street, (All of which parcels are more particularly described in Amend- ment File No. 200) be~reclassified and modified by the addition of P-K thereto to change them to C-1-PK and C-2-PK Districts respectively and that Sheets No. 16, 24, 29, 33 and 37 of the Districting Map of Article IX of the Santa Ana Municipal Code be amended to show such reclassification. SECTION 2. The Clerk of the Council shell certify to the passage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published within 15 days after i~s adoption in one issue of the Santa Ana Independent. This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days from and after the date of its adoption.
