I~EA~, the City Council of the City of Sm taAna did on
January 21, 1957, declare its intention to annex certain uninhabited
territox-y by Resolution No. 57-15. which said Resolution was regularly
published as required by law, and which said Resolution gave due
notice of public hearing to be held on April 1, 1957; and
WMI~EA~, at said hearing there were no objections or protests
to said proposed annexation;
NON, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES
0RDAINAB FOLLOW3:
SECTION 1. That after due hearing, it finds that there was no
protest to the annexation of the territory herein described, that
due notice of the time and place of hearing was given; that said
territ0rywas wholly unimhabited at the time the petition for annex-
ation was filed; that said territory is contiguous to the City of
Santa Ana, CAlifornia;
SECTION 2. That all of the territory situated in the County of
Orange, State of California, described as:
Beginning at the intersection of the westerly line of Santiago
Avenue (60 feet wide) with the southeasterly line of the
former right of way for the Pacific Electric Railway (60 feet
wide~ said point of intersection being on a curve, concave
northwesterly, having a radius of 2113.53 feet, said point
of besinning being the northeast corner of the ~est of S~tiago
Annex", -~nexed to the City of Santa Arm, November 7, 1955 by
Ordinance NB-139, running thence Northeasterly along said
Southeasterly line of the fomner right of way for the Pacific
Electric Railway to its intersection with the easterly line
of said Sautiago Avenue; thence continuing northeasterly along
said curve and the southeasterly line of said former right of
way for the Pacific EleCtric Railws~. through a central angle
of 19° 53' 59= an arc distance of 734.06 feet to the inter-
section with the west line of that certain parcel of land
leased to the County of Orange recorded in Book 853, Page
450, Official Records of Orange County, California, aradiA
from said point bears north 36° 23' 16" west; thence contin-
uing northeasterly along said southeasterly line of said former
~ri~ht of way for the Pacific Electric Railway to its intersec-
tion with the easterly right of way line of the Atchison Topeka
and santa Fe Railway right of way, said point of intersection
being a point on the city boundary of the City of Ora~ ge, Cali-
fornia; thence southeasterly along said easterly line of said
railroad and along said City boundary of the City of Orange to
an single point in said boundary and to a point where said rail-
road right of way ch~uges f~om a width-of 75 feet to 100 feet;

Orange to an angle point sa d to the point on said railroad
right of wa~ where it becomes 100 feet wide; thence southeast-
erly along said easterly line of said railroad ~ight of way to
its point of intersection with the northeasterly extension of
the southeasterly line of that certain parcel of laud described

Section $, Township 5 south, Ra~ge 9 west, San Bernardino Base
and Meridian; thence westerly along said north line of Section
6, 30.00 feet to its intersection with the center line of said
Bantiago Avenue, said ~oint of intersection being' an angle
point in the city boundary of the City of Banta Aha, California;
thence continuing westerly along said north line of Section 6
and along said city boundary to the west line of said Santiago
Avenue; thence north 0° 05' 50" east along said west line of
S~htiago Avenue 320.50 'feet tc the beginning of a curve concave
easterly having a radius of 480.00 feet; thence northeasterly
along the arc of said cur~e through a central angle of 36° 00' O0e
an arc. di.s~ance of 301.59 feet to a tangent Ii. ne; thence no?th
30° 05' 50" east along said tangent line ~0.0~ feet to the ~e-
~nning of~a curve concave northwesterly having a radius of
0.00 feet; thence northeasterly along the arc of said curve
through a central am~le of 8° 45' 00e an arc distance of 6~.1~
feet to the point of beginning. All.bearings and distress
are as shown on a licensed Surveyor's Map filed in Book 33 at
Page 47, Record of Survey in the office of the County Recorder
of Orange County, Califor~ia,
be and the same is hereby annexed to and shall become a part of the
City of Santa Aha, the Santa Aha School District, Santa Aha High
School District and the Santa Aha Junior College District, and said

annexa$ion is by this Ordinance effected, approved s~d declared.
SEOTION 3- The Clerk of the council shall certify to the
passage of this ordinance m~d shall ca' se the same to be published
once within 15 days after its adoption. This Ordinance shall take
effect 30 days from and after the date of its final adoption.
