NS-276 ESTABLISHING PRIMA FACIE SPEED LIMITS ON EAST FIRST STREET AND ON DYER ROAD WHEREAS, an engineering and traffic investigation of vehicular traffic on East First Street and upon Dyer Road, particularly in those portions of said streets hereinbelow set out, indicate that the prima facie speed limit established by t~e Vehicle Code of California should be altered and established for said areas under the authorization con- tained in Section 511.3 of said Vehicle Code, to provide for orderly, expeditious and safe traffic movement in said areas; NOW, T~EREF0~E, THE CITY COUNCIL OF ~HE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That Section 3280 of ~e Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding two new paragraphs at the end thereof, to be designated (n) and (o),immediately following Paragraph (m), in words and figures as follows: "(n) No person shall drive a vehicle at a speed greater than 35 miles per hour on East First Street between McClay Street and the Santa Ana Freeway. "(o) No person shall drive a ve~icle at a speed greater than 35 miles per hour on Dyer Rcad between Main Street and the South- ern Pacific Railroad Tracks." SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days on and after the date of its adoption.
