ARIES, AMENDING Sn~"TS NO. 54, 61, 62 and 65, AND ADD-
ING SHEETS NO. 66 AND 68 OF THE DISTRICTING MAP TO SHOW
TEE .RECLAS~ FICATION
WH~HEA~, the Planning Commission of Santa Aha has given no~ ice
of and duly held a public hearing in connection with Amendment No.
227 initiated by said Commission for change of District Classifica-
tion, and recommended to the City Council the change herein set out;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council gave due notice of and regularly
held a public hearing on said proposal and does now find that public
necessity, convenience and general welfare require the following
~endmeht and that the uses under the new classification will not be
detrimental to the surrounding property;
NOW, THEREFO~]~, THE CITY COUNCIL OF TEE OITY OF SANTA ANA DOES
ORDAIN AS
SECTION 1. That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Parcel 1. Beginning at the intersection of the East line of
~.~ort Road, 50 feet wide, with the North line of Delhi
Road, 40 feet wide, as shown on a Licensed Surveyor's Map filed
in Book 7, at Page 9 of Record of Surveys in the office of the
County Recorder of Orange County, California, in Section 27,
T. 5 S., R. 10 W., S.B.B. & M., and running along lt~e follow-
ing four courses, the bearings of which are based on the
center line of said Delhi Road as being North 87° ~' 45"
East, as shown on said LicenSed Surv'eyor's Map; thence North
872 44' 45" East along the North line of said Delhi Road
2,430.12 feet more or less to the intersection of said North
line of said Delhi Road, with the southerly extension of the
East line of the "School and Park Annex No. 2", annexed to
the City of Santa Aha by Ordinance No. NS-172 on April 2,
1956; thence North 1° 00' 20" West 10.00 feet to the South-
east corner of said "School and Park Annex No. 2"; thence
South 87° ~, 45" West 827.38 feet to a point; thence North
1° 00' 20" West 1,052.73 feet to a point; thence continuing
along the following courses, the bearings of which are based
on the center line of said 01d Newport Road as being North
15° 05' 40" East as shown on a Licensed SurveyOr's Map filed
in Book28, at page 47 of Records of Surveys in the office
of the Csunty Recorder of Orange County, California; thence
South 88 48' 50" West to the West line of said 01d Newport
Road; thence North 15° 05' 40" East 317.25 feet more or less
along said West line of said 01d Newport Road; thence South
88° ~2, 20" West 2,04o.o3 feet; thence South 89° 40, 00"
West 1,768.30 feet; thence South 1° 19' 45" East 2,262.79

line of Harbor Boulevard, 80.00 feet wide as shown on a map
of Ti-act No. 1013, said map being recorded in Book 33 at
Page 36 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of said Orange County;
thence South 1° 19' 45" East along said East line of Harbor
Boulevard 100.00 feet; thence North 88044' 15s East 3,572.13
feet. to a point in Lot No. 3 in said Tract No. lO13; thence
North 1° 00' 15e West .2,395'96 feet to ~ point ? the North
line of said Lot No. 3, thence North 87 42' 15 East 1115.28
feet along the North line of sa~ d Lot No. 3 to a point in the
West line of said Old Newport Road, 60.00 feet wide, as shown
on said map of Tract No. 1013; thence northerly along said
West line of 01d Newport Road to its intersection with the
westerly prolongation of the North line of said Delhi Road;
thence easterly along said westerly prolongation of said North
line of Delhi Road to the point of beginning.
EXCEPTING.therefrom the property described as:
Beginning at a point in the intersection of the westerly line
of the 01d Newport Road and the westerly p~olongation of the
northerly line of Delhi Road; thence north 87° ~l~' 45" East
along the North line of said Delhi Road 2430.12 feet more or
less to the intersection of said North line of said Delhi
Road with a southerly extension of the East line of the School
and Park Annex No. 2; thence North 1° 00' 20" West 10.00 feet
to the southeast corner of said School and Pa~k Annex No. 2;
thence South 87° 44' 45e West 827.38 feet; thence North 1°
00' 20" West 1,052.73 feet along the City boundary to an
angle point in said City boundary; thence West approximately
1,325 feet to the West line of the 01d Newport Road; thence
North 15° 5' 40" East 317.25 feet more or less along said
West line of said'Newport Road; thence West ~pproximately
1575 feet to the center line of the proposed new Fai~view
Avenue; thence South approximately 1350 feet along the center
line of the proposed new Fai~view Avenue; thence East 1115.28
feet to a point on the West line of the 01d Newport Road;
thence northerly along said West line of the 01d Newport Road
to the intersection of the westerly line of the 01d Newport
Road and the westerly prolongation of the northerly line of
Delhi Road.
Parcel 2. Beginning at a point on the East line of Harbor

center line of Talbert Avenue; thence southerly along said
East line of Harbor Boulevard and its extension to the North
line of Huntzinger Avenue (40 feet wide); thence easterly
along said North line of Huntzinger Avenue to its intersec-
tion with the East line of Lot 3 of the Williams Tract as
shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 30, Page 14, of
Deeds, Records of L~s Angeles. County, California; thence
northerly al ong said East line of Lot 3, 1,5~24.81 feet more
or ~ss to an angle poLut in said East line of Lot 3; thence
westerly along the westerly prolongation of that certain
southerly line of said Lot 3 having a distance of 14.52
chains to its intersection with the westerly exterior bound-
ary of the R~cho Smtiago de Santa Aha; thence along the
following 3 courses which run along a portion of ~e exterior
boundary of said Rancho as down on a map of the Partition
of the Rancho Santiago de Santa Aha; thence North 8-3/4°
East to S.S.A. 111; thence North 81° East one chain to S.S.A.
110; thence North 32° 30' East to the South line of Talbert
Avanue; thence westerly along the southerly line of Talbert
Avenue to its intersection with a line parallel with and
400.00 feet (measured at right angles) from the East line of
said Harbor Boulevard; thence northerly along said parallel
line to a point East of the point of beginning; thence westerly
to the point of beginuing,

be reclassified from the R-1 District to M-1 Distrht, and that
Sheets No. 54, 61, 62 and 65 of ~he Districting Map of Article IX
of the Santa Ana Municipal Code be amended, and ~hat Sheets No. 66
and 68 be added thereto to show such reclassification.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days from
and after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Aha at its regular meeting held on the lgth day of September . ,
