OF ANNEX"
~gHEKEA~, the City Council of the City of santa Aha did o~
August 5, 1 957 declare its intention to annex certain uninhabited
territory by Resolution No. 57-2~14, which said Resolution was regu-
larly published as required by law, and which sat d Resolution gave
due notice of public he_a__ring to be held on So. ember t6, 1957; and
WHEREAS, at said hearing there were no objections or protests
to said proposed annexation;
NOW, ~EREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA A~
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That after due hearing, it finds that there was no
protest to the annexation of the territory herein described, that due
notice of the time and place of hearing' was given; that said terri-
tory was wholly uninhabited at the time the petition for ~ nexatton
was filed; that said territory is contiguous to the City of Santa
Aha, California; that written consent of all the owners was filed
with the Clerk of the Council prior to the adoption of this Ordin-
ance, agreeing that all property within said territory shall be taxed
to pay any indebtedness or liability of said City contracted prior to
or existing at the time of annexation and that said property shall be
so taxed.
SECTION 2. That all of the territory situated in the County of
Orange, State of California, described as:
A portion of Lot 2 of the Sepulveda T~act, in the Rea cbc
Santiago de Santa Arm, as shown on a map recorded in Book
31, Page 197 of Deeds, Records of Los Angeles County, des-
cribed as follows:
Beginning at a point on the City boundary of the City of
Santa Aha, sai. d.~gint being on the center line of Sullivan
Street, 550.2b/~F~k~th of the Northwest corner of the Tract
conveyed by H. H. Roper to.C.G. Linington and others by
deed dated December 9, 187b, recorded in Book 52, Page 533
of Deeds, Records of Los Angeles County, said Northwest
corner being an angle point in said City boundary; said
angle point, as described in Ordinance 73, dated August 20,
1888, being the Northwest corner of Lot 3, Seats Aha Acres,
as shown on a map recorded in Mtscell~eous Maps, Book 5,
Page 8, Records of Orange County, California; thence South
89° 48' 30" West 1263.90 feet; thence due South ~14.66 feet;
thence North 890 48' 3O" East 1263.90 feet to said City
boundary; thence due North 414.66 feet al cng said City
boundary, and along said center line of Sullivan Street
· to the point Of beginning~
be and the same is hereby annexed to and shall become a part of
City of Santa Aha, the Santa Aha School District, Santa Aha High
School District and the Santa Ana Junior College District, and said
annexation is by.this Ordinance effected, approved and declared.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days from and
after the date of its final adoption.
