LIMIT 0N~PORTION~ FAIRVIEW AVENUE EAST OF DOUGLAS
STREET AND ON PORTION OF SEVENTEENTH STREET EAST OF
GRAND AVENUE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That after an engineering and traffic survey and
Council determination, and under the authority contaL~ed in Se0tion
511.3 (b) of the Vehicle Code of~the State of California, Subsections
(h) and (1) of Section 3280 of the Santa Aha Municipal Code are amended
to read as follows:
"(h) No person shall drive ~a vehicle on East Seventeenth
Street at a speed greater than 45 miles per hour between the
Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe railroad tracks, which lie along
the easterly side of Lincoln Avenue, and the west property line
of Wright Street, as it exists north of Seventeenth Street,
nor at a speed greater than 35 miles per hour between said
Atchison, Topeka a~d Santa Fe r~ lroad tr~cks and Poinsettia
Street.
"(1) No person shall d~ive a vehicle at a speed greater than
35 miles an hour on Fai~view Avenue between Bristol Street and
Center Street".
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days frc~ and
after the date of its adoption.
