MUNICIPAL CODE TO CH'ANGE TEE DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION OF
CERTAIN PROPERTY AND TO ADOPT SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 25-5-10
WHEEEAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly
held a public hearing in connection with Amendment Application No.
248 and has recommended to the City Council the reclassification of
p~operty situated on the West side of South Main Street between Delhi
Road and the Pacific Electric Railway right-of-way, and
WHEREAS, the City Council gave due notice of and regularly held
a public hearing on said application, and does nowfind that public
necessity, convenience and general welfare require the following amend-
merit and that the uses under the new classification will not be detri-
mental to the surrounding property;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF ~tE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
That portion of the northeast quarter of Section Twenty-five,
Township five south, Range ten west, San Ber~ardino Base and
M~ridian, described as follows:
Beginning at the northeast corner of said Section twenty-five;
thence south O° 39' 45" west alon~ the east llne of said
section, a distance of 475.00 feet; t hence north 89° 20' 15"
West 322 feet; thence south 0° 39' 45" west 723.75 feet to a
point; thence south 89° 20, 15't east 322 feet to the east line
of said section; thence south 0° 39' ~5" west along the east
line of said section 385.99 feet more or less to the north-
westerly line of that certain strip of land 80.00 feet in
width, as described in deed to H. E. Huntington, Trustee,
recorded June 7th, 1909, in Book 174, page 253 of Deeds; thence
south 60° 53' 30'' west 11~0.54 feet along said northwesterly
line to the westerly line of land described as Parcel I in
deed to L. A. McCain, recorded F~bruary 26th, 1941, in Book
lO81, page 320 of Official Records; thence north 0° 39' ~5"
eas~ 2150.50 feet to the north line Sf said section; thence
south 89° 22' lO" ~ast 990.00 feet to the point of beginning~
is hereby reclassified as follows: Those portions of said property
lying within the east 322 feet thereof measured from the center line of
Main Street and within the north 242 feet thereof measured from the
center line of Delhi Road frGn R-1 District to the C-1 District; the
remainde~ of said property from the R-1 District to the M-1 District,
and that new Sectional District Map 25-5-10 is hereby adopted and es-
tablished to show the classification of other property in said section,
and reference is hereby made to said map for further details and
particulars as to the zoning in said Section. Copies of said map
are hereby ordered filed in the Planning Department, the Building
Departmentj and in the office of the Clerk of the Council.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days from and
after the date of its adoption.
