MUNICIPAL CODE '~T'0 CHANGE T~E DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION OF
CERTAIN PROPERTY AND TO ADOPT SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 17-5-9
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly
held a public hearing in connection with Amendment Application No. 251
and has recommended to the City Council the reclassification of prop-
erty situated on the South side of McFadden Street between Lyon~
Street, if extended, and the A. T. & S. F. Railway right-of-way and
~ie Street, and
WHEREAS, the City Council gave due notice of and regularly
held a public hearing on said application and does now find that pub-
lic necessity, convenience and general welfare ~equire the following
amendment and that the uses under the new class~ fication will not be
detrimental to ti~e surrounding property.
NOW. THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF ~HE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES
ORDAIN AS ~0 LLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the real property in the City of Santa Aha,
County of Or, ge, State of California, described as:
Beginning at a point on the center line of McFadden Street
10.00 feet westerly from the monumented intersection of the
center lines of said McFaddau Street and the center llne
of Lyon Street, said point of beginning being an angle point
in the City boundary of the City of Sm ta Aha, California;
and running thence south 89° 00' 05" west along said City
boundary and along said center line of McFadden Street
34-50 feet to an angle point in s~ d City boundary$ thence
south O0° 32' 45" west along s~ d City boundary 99b.78
feet to the north line of Section 20, Township 5 South,
Range 9 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian; thence de-
parting from said City boundary, easterly in a straight
line 1155.00 feet more or ~ ss to a point on the center
line of Ritchie Street, which is 990.00 feet southerly,
measured along said center line of Ritchie Street, from
the center line of said McFadden Street; thence continuing
easterly along the extension of last-described course to
the east line of Ritchie Street (50.00 feet wide); thence
northerly alon!~ said east line of Rttchie Street 500 feet
more or less to the southwesterly right-of-way line of the
Atchison, Topek~ ad Sm ta Fe Railroad; thence northwesterly
along said southwesterly right-of-way line of said railroad
to the north line of said McFadden Street (40.00 feet wide);
thence westerly along said north line c~ McFadden Street to
a point 10.00 feet west,of the monumented center line of
Lyon Street, and to said City boundary; thence southerly
along said City boundary 20.00 feet to the point of beginning,
is hereby reclas~fied from the R-1 District to the M-1 District and
that new sectional District ~ap 17-5-9 is hereby adopted and estab-
lished to show such reclassification and to show the classification
of other property in said Section, and reference is hereby made to
said map for further details and particulars as to the zoning in
said Section. A copy of said map is hereby ordered filed in the
office of the Planning Department, in the Building Department, and
in the office oe the Clerk of the Council.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take
and after the date of its adoption.
