TO CHANGE TEE DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY AND TO ADOPT SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAPS 30-5-5 AND 31-5-9 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly held public hearing in connection with Amendment Application No. ~254 initiated by the Planning Commission, and has recommended to the City Council the reclassification of property situated in the triangular shaped area located between Main Street and Newport Avenue lying south of Dyer Road, vgnich was recently annexed to the City of Santa &ua under the na~e of "Main and Newport N. E. Annex", and WHEREAS, the City Council gave due notice of and regularly held a public hearing on said application, and does now find that public necessity, convenience and general welfare require the following amend- ments and that the uses under the new classifications will not be detrimental to the surrounding property; NOW, THEREFORE, 'iP~E CITY COUNCIL OF T~ CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES OPd)AIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the real property in the City of Santa Ana, County of Or~uge, State of California, described as: Beginning at the southwest corner of the Seccombe Tract as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 8, Page 89 of Miec- ell~ueous Naps, Records of Orange County, and running thence northerly along the west line of said Seccombe Tract to the northwest corner of said Seccombe Tract; thence north 89° 31'2 ~2" west along the westerly extension of the n~rth, lin~ of said Seccombe Tract 735.~7 feet, thence north O l0 05 ,?st 664.94 fe~t; thence north 89° 4%' 00" west 321.07 feet; thence north 0~ 01' 05" west 668.53 feet to a point on the center line of Dyer Road; thence westerly along said center line of Dyer Road to the intersection of said center line of Dyer Road with the northe~ extension of the east line of Lot 5 of South Sauta Ana Place, as shown on a map recorded in Book 5, Page ~0 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California; thence southerly along said northerly extension of the east line of Lot 5 and along the East line of said Lot 5r536.60 fe~t; thence westerly along a line par- allel with and 536.60 feet southerly, measured along said east line and its northerly extension of Lot 5, from said center line of Dyer Road 330.00 feet; thence northerly along a line par~ lel with and 330.00 feet westerly from said east line of Lot 5, 536.60 feet to said center line of Dyer Road; thence westerly along said center line of Dyer Road to a point on said center line of Dyer Road which is 33.00 feet easterly, measured at right angles, from the center line of ~ain Street; thence southerly along a line parallel with and 33.00 feet easterly, measured at righ~ angles, from said center line of Main Street to its intersection with a line, which is 30.00 feet southeasterly, measured at right angles, from the center line of Newport Avenue; thence northeasterly alon~ said line which is 30.00 feet southeasterly from the center line of New- port Avenue to its intersection with the easterly extension of the north line of said Seccombe Tract; thence westerly along said easterly extension of the Seccombe Tract to the center line of said Newport Avenue; thence southwesterly along said center line of Newport Avenue to its intersection with the easterly extension of the south line of said Seccombe Tract; thence westerly along said south line of the Seccombe Tract and along its easterl~ extension to the southwest corner of said Seccombe Tract, and to the point of beginning, is hereby reclassified as follows: ,Those portions of said real prop- erty lying north of a line running due east and west, approximately 975 feet north of the intersection of the and Newport Avenue shall be changed from District, and those portions of said real line rttuntng due east from a point on the center lines of Main Street the R-1 District to the M-1 property lying south of a center line of Main Street, which is located 975 feet north of the intersection of the center lines of Main Street and Newport Avenue, from the R-1 District to the C-2-PK District, and that new Sectional District Maps 30-5-5 and 31-5-9 are hereby adopted and established to show this reclassifica- tion snd the classification of other property on said Sectional Dis,trict Maps, and reference is hereby made to said maps for further details and particulars as to the zoning in said Section. Copies of said Maps are hereby ordered filed in the Planning Department, the Building Department and in the office of the Clerk of the CounCil. SECTION 2. This 0rdina~ce shall take effect 30 days from and after the date of its adoption.
