ANA NUNICIPAL ~0DE TO CHANGE DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION ON
AMENDSfENT APPLICATION N0. 295~ AND TO ~d~END SECTI0~AL
DISTRICT MAP 10-5-10
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly
held a public hearing in connection with .~.~nendment Application No.
29~, initiated by said Co~.Eission, and recommended the changes in
district classification hereinbelow set out; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held apublic hearing on
said question and does now find that public necessity, convenience
and general welfare require the following amendments, and that the
uses under the new classifications will not be detrimental to the
surrounding property;
NOW~ TJIE~FORE, THE CITY COUi~CIL OF THE CITY 01,~ S~iTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the parcels of real property in the City of
S~nta Ana, County ~ 0rauge, Sts. te of California, bounded as follows:
Parcel 1. Bounded Northwesterly by the Southeasterly right
of way line of the Santa Ana River Chaunel, bounded on the
East by the center line o f Berrydale Street, extended
Southerly, and bounded on the South by a line par~ lel to
and 100 feot norti~ of t~e North line of Tenth Street;
Parcel 2. Bounded Southwesterly by the Northeasterly right
of way line of the Pacific Electric Railroad, bounded
Northwesterly by the Southeasterly ri~at of way line of
the Santa Aha River Channel, bounded ~ort~erly by a line
parallel to and South of the South boundary of Ninth Street
a~proximately 6~ feet, said NoFtherly boundary being 68~
feet ~ long, to a point on the Southerly boundary of Ninth
Street, u~hich is 292 feet, measured at right angles from
the Northwesterly right of way line of King Street; thence
Southwesterly and parallel ~th King Street 330 feet; thence
Southeasterly at right angles to the Northwesterly right
of way line of King Street 292 feet to said Northwesterly
right of way line of King Street; thence Southwesterly
along ~ae Northwesterly rig~at of w~y line of King Street
to the Pacific Electric Railroad right of way.
Parcel ~. Beginning at a point on the center line of
Westminster Avenue (Seventeenth Street), which is ~50
feet East of the center line of Harbor Boulevard; thence
South 670 feet to the true point of beginning; thence East
to the Pacific Electric Railroad right of way; thence
Southeasterly along the Southwesterly right of way line
of ~ne Pacific Electric Railroad right of way to a point
which is 12~0 feet North of the South line of Hazard
Avenue extended Easterly; thence ~est 76~ feet; thence
South 1320 feet; thence West 185 feet to the center line
of Jac~mon ~treet; thence South along the center line of
Jackson Street to a point 47o feet North of t he center
line of Fifth Street; thence East 680 feet; thence North
183 feet; thence East 500 feet; thence South 30 feet;
thence East 133 feet; thence South to the North line of
Willowick Drive; thence West and South along the North
and West line of ~illowick Drive to a point 170 feet
~orth of the center line of Fifth Street; thence West to
a point 285 feet East of the center of Harbor Boulevard;
thence North to a point 289 feet North of the center line
of Fifth Street; thence East to a point 210 feet East of
the center line of qarbor BouleMard; thence North to Hazard
Avenue; thence East along the South line of Hazard Avenue
to a point 365 feet East of the center line of Harbor
Boulevard; thence North and parallel to the center line of
Harbor ~i~oulevard to a point 560 feet North of Eleventh
Street; thence West to a point 230 feet East of the center
line of Harbor Boulevard; thence North to the point of
beginning.
Parcel 4. Beginning at a point on the center line of
Fifth Street~ which is 235 feet East of the center line
of Harbor Boulevard; thence South 100 feet to the point
of beginning; thence East and along the center line of
the alley right of w~y to the East line of Jackson Avenue;
thence North approximately 30 feet ~ the center line of
the alley easement lying first South of Fifth Street;
thence Easter-j ~ong the center line of said alley ease-
ment to the center line of Harper Street; thence South
along the center line of Harper Street to a point 210 feet
South of the center line of Fifth Street; thence East 330
feet; thence South to a point 330 feet South of the center
line of Fifth Street; thence East to the Northwesterly
right of way line of the Santa Aha River Channel; thence
Southwesterly along said right of w~ line of the Santa Ana
River Cha~uel to a point which is 240 feet North of the
center line of Bolsa Avenue (First Street), measured at
right angles; thence West to the ~esterly line of Harper
Streetl thence South to the Easterly extension of the
center line of the alley lying first North of said Bolsa
Avenue; thence Westerly along the center line of said
alley ease~ent to the center line of Jackson Street; thence
~ortherly along the center line of Jackson Street to the
center line of the alley easem~t lying West of Jackson
Street extended Easterly; thence East along the center line
of said alley easement to a point 165 feet East of the
center line of Harbor Boulevard; thence ~{orth and parallel
to the center line of Harbor Boulevard to a point 274 feet
South of the center line of Fifth Street; thence East to
a point 23~ feet East of the Center line of Harbor Boule-
vard; thence North to the point of beginning~
are hereby reclassified from the R-1 District to the R-2 District,
and Sectional District ~ap 10-5-10 is hereby a~ended to show said
reclassification and to delimit the boundaries of said areas, and
if there be any conflict between the descriptions hereinabo~ set
out, and the areas as shown on said map, the areas on said map shall

SECTION 2. This Ordinance shell take effect 30 days from
and afterthe date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOI~ED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held onthe ~h day of Decm~er ,
1959.
