THAT CERTAIN TERRITORY DESIGNATED "TRASK AND LAIRD
N. E. ANNEX"
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana did on
December 7, 19~9, adopt Resolution No. ~9-306 acknowledging the
receipt of a petition for annexation of certain territory signed
by the owners of more than one-fourth of the land in the territory
which was requested in said petition to be annexed to the City of
Santa Ana, California, which said Resolution was regularly published
as required by law, and gave notice of a public hearing to be held
January 18, 1960, which said hearing was regularly held;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That after due hearing it finds that there was
no protest to the annexation of the territory herein described;
that due notice of t~e time and place of hearing was given; that
said territory was uninhabited at the time said petition was filed,
and that said territory shall not be taxed to pay any indebtedness
of the City existing at the time of this annexation.
SECTION 2. That all of the territory situated in the County
of Orange, State of California and described as:
Beginning at an angle point in t he City boundary of the
City of S~ta Ana, California, said angle point being a
point on a line which is parallel with and 20.00 feet
n~rtherly, measured at right angles fr~n the center line
of Trask ~venue, said point being 739.95 feet westerly,
measured along said parallel line and its easterly exten-
sion, from the westerly line of the Rancho Santiago De
Santa Ana; said point being on the westerly line of that
certain parcel of land designated "D 406-1~5'' on a map
recorded in Book 15 at Page 40, Records of Survey of Orauge
County, California; thence North 25o 40, East along said
westerly line and along said City boundary 1~6.77 feet
more or less to an angle point therein; thence North 37°
42' 4~" East along said City boundary 492.97 feet more or
less to the most northerly corner of said parcel designated
"D 406-185" to au angle point in said City boundary, said
corner being on the southerly prolongation of the easterly
boundary of Tract No. 2~18, as shown on a map thereof re-
corded in Book 88, Pages 44, 4~, 46, 4?, Niscellaneous
Maps, Records of said Orange County; thence northerly along
said southerly prolongation a nd along said City boundary
to t~e South line of the North half (N 1/2) of the south-
east quarter (SE$) of the northwest quarter (~NW~) of Section
2, Township 5 South, R~ ge l0 West, San Bernardino Base and
Neridian; thence westerly departing from said City bound-
ary along said South line, to the East line of t~e West
half (W 1/2) of the northwest quarter (NW l/4) of said
Section 2; thence southerly along said East line to said
parallel line, which is 20.00 feet northerly from the center
line of Trask Avenue, and to said City boundary; thence
easterly along said City boundary and along said parallel
line to the point of beginning,
be and the same is hereby annexed to, and shall become a part of,
the City of Santa Ana, California, and said annexation is by this
Ordinance effected, approved and declared.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days from
and after the date of its adoption.

the Council of the City of Sa~ ta Aha, California; that the foregoing
Ordinance was regularly introduced at its regular meeting held on
the l~th day of January , 1960, and was again considered by
said Cour~ il at its regular meeting held on the 1st da~ of
February ., 1960, and was at said meeting regularly passed
and adopted by said Council by the following vote, to-wit:
