MUNICIPAL ELECt0 BE HELD IN CERTAIN TERRITORY DESIG-
NATED "BERRYDALE AND TRASK N. E. .qNNEX" ON ~MAY 10, 1960,
FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUBMITTING TO THE VOTERS OF SAID TERRI-
TORY THE QUESTION OF ANNEXATION TO THE CITY 0F SANTA ANA
WHEREAS, heretofore, all of the steps necessary for the ini~ta-
ation of annexation proceedings under the Annexation Act of 1913 have
been completed as required by law; the City Council held a protest
hearing on March 7, 1960, and found and declared that a majority
protest had not been made against 'an election
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF TttE
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That a special election
ordered to be held on the 10th day of ~ay,

is hereby called and
1960, in that certain
territory designated "Berrydale and Trask N. E. Annex'T, which said
name was heretofore designated and is hereby declared to be the
official name of said territory, and the name by whic~ said terri-
tory shall be indicated upon the election ballots at said election.
Said territory lies in the County of Orange, State of California,
and is described as:

SECTION 2. The proposition to be presented to the electors
and to be printed upon the ballots used at said election shall be
in the following words:

SECTION 3. The precinct boards shall consist of one
and two judges for each polling place. The precincts shall be those
determined by the City Council by Resolution and shall consist of
one or more regular voting precincts or portions thereof, and the
voting place o~ places shall be such as is commonly used for voting
witain the territory, if there be any such place or places within
the territory herein described. The election officers shall be
those named in the "NOTICE OF ELECTION OFFICERS AND PO~itNG PLACES"
to be declared as to form by the City Council. The Clerk of the
Council is hereby authorized to find and appoint substitutes for
any election officer named who is unable or unwilling to act.
SECTION 4' Precinct officers shall receive the following
compensation: Each inspector, ~21.00, ~d each judge, ~18.00, for
their work as such officers, and owners of privately owned polling
places shall r~ceive the sum of ~!~9.00 for the use of each polling
place.

Said election shall be held and conducted in

poll shall be open from 7 A.M. until 7 P.M. on the day of said

SECTION 6. The Clerk of the Council shall cause a NOTICE OF
ELECTION and a NOTICE OF ELECTION OFFICERS AND POLLING PLACES to be
published once each week for four weeks prior to May 10, 1960, in a
newspaper of general circulation printed and published outside the
City of Santa Aha, but in the County of Orange.

SECTION 7. This Ordinance shall take effect upon the date
of publication.

Ana at its regular meeting held on

the Council of the City of Santa Ana, California; that the fore-
going Ordinance was regularly introduced at its regular meeting
held on the 7~h day of March ~, 1960, and was again consid-
ered by said Council at its regular meeting held on the 21st day
of March 1960, and was at said meeting regularly passed
and adopted by said Council by the following vote, to-wit:
