LIMIT ON SULLIVAN STREET BETWEEN McFADDEN AND
EDINGER STREET TO 25 MILES PER HOUR
WHEREAS, heretofore the City Council established a speed
limit of 40 miles per hour on Sullivan Street between First and
Edinger Streets; and
WHEREAS, the area between McFadden and Edinger Streets has
now been developed with a number of homes fronting on said Street
to establish a Vehicle Code Standard for 25 miles per hour speed
limit.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That after an engineering and traffic survey,
the City Council has concluded that the speed limit herebefO~e
established for a portion of S~livan Street should be repealed
to place in effect the Vehicle Code requirement of 25 miles per
hour prima facie speed limit, and to effect the same,Subsection (r)
of Section 3280 of the Santa Aha Municipal Code is hereby amended
to read as follows:
(r) No person shall drive a vehicle at a speed greater
than 40 miles per hour on Sullivan Street between First
Street and McFadden
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days from
and after its adoption.
PASSED ANDADOPTEDby the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 6th day of September, 1960.
