THAT CERTAIN TERRITORY DESIGNATED "TUSTIN AND
SEVENTEENTH N. E. ANNEX"
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha did, on
August l, 1960, declare its intention to annex certain uninhabited
territory by Resolution No. 60-145, which said Resolution was regu-
larly published as required by law, and gave due notice of a public
hearing to be held September 19, 1960, which said hearing was regu-
larly held on said notice and on mailed notices as required by law.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That after due hearing it finds that protest has
not been made by the owners of one-half of the value of the territory
as shown on the last equalized assessment roll, that due notice of
the time and place of hearing was given as required by law, that said
territory was uninhabited at the time said Resolution No. 60-145 was
adopted initiating this procedure; that said territory is contiguous
to the City of Santa Ana and that said territory shall not be taxed
to pay any indebtedness of the City existing at the time of this
annexation.
SECTION 2. That all of the territory situated in the County
of Orange, State of California, described as:
Beginning at an angle point in the City boundary of the City
of Santa Aha, said angle point being on the intersection of the
West line of Old Tustin Avenue 60.00 feet wide, with a line
which is parallel with and 40 feet Northerly measured at right
angles, from the centerline of Seventeenth Street, said angle
point being 30.00 feet West and 40.00 feet North of the South-
west corner of Lot 13, Block B of the A. B. Chapman Tract as
surveyed by Frank Lecouvruer in December 1870 as shown on a
map of survey filed in Book 9, page 39, Records of Survey,
County of Orange, in the office of %he County Recorder, State
of California; running thence Northerly along said City boundary
and Northerly along a line parallel with and 30.00 feet Westerly,
measured at right angles, from the centerline of said Old Tustin
Avenue, 1940' more or less, to the Westerly extension of lthe
North line of the South half of Lot 12, Block "B" in J~id A. B.
Chapman Tract; thence Easterly along said North line and its
extensions 1382.58 feet more or less to a po~t 32.58 feet East
of the East line of said Lot 12; thence Southerly in a straight
line 660 feet more or less to.a point on the South line of Lot
11 in said Block "B", which is 33.56 feet East of the Southeast

corner of said Lot 12~ thence Westerly along the South line of
Lots 11 and 12, 701.10 feet more or less to a ~oint on the
South line of said Lot 12 which is 25 feet West of the center-
line of Ponderosa Street as shown on a map of Tract No. 2493
recorded in Book 113, ~ages 35 and 36, Miscellaneous Maps,
Records of Orange County,California~ thence Southerly along a
line parallel with and 25 feet Westerly, measured at right
angles frc~ said centerline of Ponderosa Street 662.?4 feet
more or less to the South line of said Tract No. 2493~ thence
Westerly along the South line of said Tract No. 2493 and its
extension 426.92 feet more or less to its intersection with a
line which is ~arallel with and 40 feet Westerly, measured at
right angles, from the centerline of New Tustin Avenue as con-
veyed to the State of Californiaby Deed recorded October 7,
1937 in Book 904, page 518, Official Records of Orange County
California~ thence Southerly along said parallel line 650 feet
more or less to its intersection with a line which is parallel
with and 40 feet Northerly, measured at right angles, frc~ the
centerline of Seventeenth Street, and to the City boundary of
the City of Santa Ana~ thence Westerly along said City boundary
and along said parallel line 480 feet, more or less, to the
point of beginning,
be, and the same is hereby a~nexed to the City of Santa Ana, and said
annexation is by this Ordinance effected, approved and declared.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days from and
after the date of its adoption.
PASSED ANDADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
