SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO CHANGE DISTRICT CLASSI-
FICATION ON ~IENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 320 AND A~iENDING
SECTIONAL DISTRICT HAPS 12-5-10 AND 7-5-9 (EXHIBIT 320-A)
WHEREAS, Planning Conuuission has given notice of and duly held
a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 320, initiated by said
Commission, and recommended the changes in District classification
hereinbelow set out; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on
said question and does now find that public necessity, convenience
and general welfare require the following amendment, and that the use
under the new classification will not be detrimental to the surrounding
property.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE Ci~I~ COUNCIL OF THE CITY~ SANTA ANA DOES
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
of Orange, State of California, described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the Southerly boundary of Tenth
Street located approximately 127 feet Easterly from the
centerline of Birch Street; thence Easterly along the
Southerly boundary of Tenth Street to a point located
approximately 124 feet Easterly from the Easterly boundary
of 14ain Street; thence Southerly along a line approximately
parallel to the centerline of i4ain Street to the centerline
of Ninth Street; thence Easterly along the centerline of
Ninth Street for a distance of approximately 1 foot; thence
Southerly along a line parallel to the centerline of Main
Street to a point located approximately 150 feet Southerly
from the Southern boundary of Seventh Street; thence Easterly
along a line approximately parallel to the centerline of
Sixth Street to the Westerly boundary of Spurgeon Street;
thenceSoutherly along the Westerly boundary of Spurgeon Street
to the Northerly boundary of First Street; thence Westerly
along the Northerly boundary of First Street to a point
located approximately 100 feet Westerly of the centerline of
Broadway; thence Northerly along a line approximately parallel
to the centerline of Broadway to the Northerly boundary of
Second Street; thence Westerly to the Easterly boundary of the
alley which bisects the block bounded by Birch Street on the
West, ~hird Street on the North, Broadway on the East and
Second Street on the South; thence Northerly along the Easterly
boundary of said alley along a line approximately parallel to
the centerline of Broadway to the Northerly boundary of Third
Street; thence Westerly along the Northerly boundary of ~l~ird
Street to the Easterly boundary of Ross Street; thence Northerly
along the Easterly boundary of ~oss Street to a point located
approximately 130 feet South from the centerline of Sixth Street;

thence Easterly along a line approximately parallel to the
centerline of Sixth Street to a point located approximately
150 feet Easterly from the centerline of Ross Street; thence
Southerly along a line approximately parallel to the center-
line of Ross Street for a distance of 25 feet; thence Easterly
along a line approximately parallel to the centerline of Sixth
Street to a point located approximately 165 feet Westerly from
the centerline of Broadway; thence Southerly along a line
approximately parallel to the centerline of Broadway for a
distance of approximately 30 feet; thence ~asterly along a line
approximately parallel to the centerline of Fifth Street to the
centerline of Broadway; thence Northerly along the centerline
of Broadway to a point located on the centerline of Broadway
which is approximately 67 feet Northerly of the point where
the centerline of Broadway intersects the centerline of Eighth
Street; thence Westerly along a line approximately parallel to
the centerline of Eighth Street to a point located approximately
136 feet Easterly from the centerline of Birch Street; thence
Northerly and approximately parallel to the centerline of
Broadway to a point located approximately 105 feet Southerly
from the centerline of Tenth Street; thence Westerly along a
line approximately parallel to the centerline of Tenth Street
for a distance of approximately 9 feet; thence Northerly along
a line approximately parallel to the centerline of Broadway
to the point of beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the C-2 District to the C-3 District as
shown on Sectional District Maps 12-5-10 and 7-5-9 (Vmxhibits 320-A),
and said Sectional District Maps are hereby amended to show said
reclassification.
SEC'~ION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect thirty days from
and after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the l?t~ day of 0c%eber , 1960.
