November 21, 1950, declare its intention to annex certain uninhabited
territory by ~esolution ~o. 60-240, which said ~esolution was regularly
· published as required by law, and gave due notice of a public hearin~
to be held January 3, 19~1, which said hearing was regularly held on
said notice and on mailed notices as required by law.

SECTiO[[ 1. ~z~at after due hearing it finds there was no
protest to the annexation of the territory herein described, that due
notice of the time and place of hearing was given; that said terri-
tory was uninhabited a~ the time said Resolution ~7o. 240 was adopted
initiating this procedure; that said territory is conti~uous to the
city of Santa Aha and that said territory shall not be taxed to ]pay
any indebtedness of the City existing at the time of this annexation.
SECTION 2. 'i~at all of the territory situated in the County
of Orange, State of California, described as:
Commencing at the intersection of the center lines of
Seventeenth Street and ~labury Street, said intersection
being the ~orthwest corner of the L~ria SepulvDda de Velarde
Tract, in the Rancho Santiago de Santa Ana, as shown on a
map of the Mabury Tract recorded in ~ook 1~5, Page 300, of
Deeds, iiiscellaneous Aecords of Los Angeles Count~', Cali-
fornia; and running thence Easterly along said center line
of Seventeenth Street, ~22.00 feet to a bolt marh~ng the
Soutlqwest corner of Lot 1~ in ~lock ~ of the A. L. Cha~an
~ract surveyed b~~' Frank Lecouveur in 1L70, as shown on a
reap recorded in ~ook 102, Pag~ 15 of ~.~iscellaneous~ ~aps,
records of Orange Count=, California, also as shove% on
ilecord of Survey ~ap filed in ~oo~ S at Page 9, i~ecords of
Surveys in the Office of the County ~ecorder of Orange County,
California; thence l~iorth 40~00 feet to the boundary of the
city of Santa Ana, California, and to 'the true point of
beginning; thence.~orth 1,270.10 feet to the Southwest corner
of the land conveyed in the deed recorded January 5, 1~3, in
Boo!~ 9~, Page 232 of Deeds, ~ecords of Los Angeles County,
California; thence East_ ~34.o2 fee~; tlnence South 1,273.40
feet to said City boundary; thence ~est alon~ said City
boundary ~4.32 feet to the 'true point of beginning,

be, and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Santa Ana and to
%~ard Ko. 1 in said City, and said annexation is by t~his ordinance
effected, approved and declared. For the purpose of tax segregation
of this territory, the designation that applies is "Santa Aha City -
1957 & 195S Annexes".
SEC~2ION 3. i~is Ordinance shall take effect 30 days fr~ and
after the date of its adoption.
