THE PROPOSED "DEODAR AND SEVENTEENTH N. W. ANNEX"
IN ACCORDANCE WITH A~MENDMENT 339
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly
held a public hearing on Amendment No. 339, initia~gd by said
Commission, to prezone certain territory in the "Deodar and Seven-
teenth N. W. Annex", which area is generally located in the County of
Orange on the Northwest corner of West Seventeenth and Deodar Streets.
and is presently classified as a County RP District; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has recommended, in accordance
with Sections 9224 and 9225 of the Santa Aha Municipal Code, that
Sectional District l~iap 4-5-9 (Exhibit AA 339 A) be adopted prezoning
the area included in this Annexation as a P District; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on
said question and does now find that public necessity, convenience
and general welfare require the adoption of the prezoning ~ereinabove
designated, and that the use under the new classification will not
be detrimental to the surrounding property.
NOW, THEREFOPdE, THE CI~fY COU~tCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA AILA
DOES Oi~DAIi~ AS FOLLOWS:
SEC'i'IO~ 1. ~£~nat the real property in the County of Orange,
State of California, described as:
Beginning at the point of intersection of a line parallel
with and 25.00 feet North, measured at right angles, from the
center line of Seventeenth Street, with the North extension
of the East line of the West half of Lot Number 5 of the
Felipe Yorba Tract as shown on a map thereof recorded in
Book 4, Page 206, Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County,
California, said point of beginning being an angle point in
the city boundary of the City of Santa Ana, California; and
running thence West along said_parallel line and along said
Santa Aha City boundary 152.00 feet more or less to its inter-
section with the Southerly extension of a line which is paral-
lel with and 10.00 feet East, measured at right angles, from
the West line of Lot 4, in Tract Number 1031~ as shown on a
map thereof recorded in Book 33, Page 43, ~4iscellaneous Maps,
Records of Orange County, California; thence North, departing
from said Santa Aha City boundary, along said line parallel
with the West line of said Lot 4, and its extension 100.00
feet; thence East parallel with the North line of said Lot 4

a distance of 178.71 feet to the East line of said Lot 4;
thence South along a straight line parallel with the center
line of Deodar Street as shown on said Map of Tract Number
1031 and along its South extension 176.7S feet more or less
to its intersection with a line parallel with and 52.00 feet
South, measured at right angles, from said center line of
Seventeenth Street; and to said city boundary of the City
of Santa Ana; thence West along said city boundary 26.00
feet more or less to an angle point in said city boundary
and to said East line of the West half of Lot 5 of the
Felipe Yorba Tract; thence North along said East line of
the West half of Lot 5 and its extension, and along said
city boundary 77.00 feet to the point of beginning,
is hereby prezoned and classified as shown on Sectional District Map
4-5-9 (Exhibit AA 339 A); that said prezoning hereby changes the
District Classification from the RP District (a classification
effective as long as said territory is in the County) to the P District
(a City classification); and that said prezoning Map is hereby estab-
lished to show said classification, and said classification shall be
effective whensoever in the future any portion or all of said
property is annexed to the City of Santa Ana.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect thirty days from
and after the date of its adoption.
