CERTAIN PROPERTY PREZONED BY ORDINANCE NO. NS-498
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. NS-498,
Council of the city of Santa Ana on the 6th day of February,
prezoned certain property contiguous to, but not annexed to,
City of Santa Ana; and
passed and adopted by the City
1961,
the
WHEREAS, the Planning COAL,~ission has given notice of and duly
held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 357, initiated by
D. E. Liggett, for a change of District classification fr~ the
60-A1-7200 District to the 60-R1-7200 District and the 50-R1~6000
District for certain property ehat was prezoned, and said Commission
has recommended approval of said Amendment Application; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing, on
notice, on said question and does now find that the public necessity,
convenience and general welfare require the adoption of the amendment
to the prezoning heretofore designated, and that the use under the
new classifications will not be detrimental to the surrounding
property.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the real property in the County of Orange,
State of California, described as:
Beginning at a point on the center line of Lincoln Avenue
located approximately 165 feet Northerly from the point
where the center line of Lincoln Avenue intersects the
center line of Virginia Avenue; thence Westerly along a line
approximately parallel to the center line of Santa Clara
Avenue for a distance u~ i~19.8 feet, more or less, to the
center line of Santiago Avenue; thence Northerly along the
center line of Santiago Avenue for a distance of 265 feet,
more or less; thence Easterly along a line approximately
parallel to the center line of Grovemont Street for a
distance of 89 feet, more or less; thence Easterly and
Northeasterly for a distance of 158 feet, more or less, to
a point located approximately 154 feet Easterly from the
center line of Santiago Avenue; thence Westerly for a

distance of 154 feet, more or less, to the center line of
Santiago Avenue; thence Northerly along the center line
of Santiago Avenue for a distance of 105 feet, more or
less; thence Northeasterly along a line approximately
parallel to the Santa Aha City Limits prior to the
Santiago and Virginia East Annex for a distance ~ 103.2
feet, more or less; thence Northeasterly for a distance of
125 feet, more or less; thence Northerly to the City Limits
of the City of Santa Aha prior to the Santiago and Virginia
East Annex for a distance of 40 feet, more or less; thence
Northeasterly, Southeasterly and Northeasterly continuing
along the City Limits of the City of Santa Ana prior to the
Santiago and Virginia East Annex to the Westerly boundary
of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway right of way;
thence Southeasterly and Southerly along the Westerly
boundary of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway right
of way for a distance of 630 feet, more or less, to the
center line of Lincoln Avenue; thence Southerly along the
center line of Lincoln Avenue for a distance of 495.5 feet,
more or less, to the point of Beginning,
is hereby prezoned and classified as shown on sectional District
Maps 6-5-9 and 31-4-9 '(Exhibit AA 357 A); that this prezoning amends
that prezoning previously made by Ordinance No. NS-498 as said
Ordinance is applicable to the property hereinabove described; that
said prezoning hereby changes the District classifications from the
60-A1-7200 District to the 60-R1-7200 District and the 50-R1-6000
District; that said prezoning map is hereby established to show said
classifications, and that said classifications shall be effective
whensoever in the future any portion or all of said property is
annexed to the City of Santa Ana.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect thirty days from
and after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 7th day of .. Ausmst , 1961.
