SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO CHANGE DISTRICT CLASSI-
FICATION ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 358 AND
AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 11-5-10 (EXHIBIT
AA 358 A)
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has,yen notice of and duly
held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 358, initiated by
F. GERALD ENGLISH, for a change in District classification from the
R-1 District to the C-1 District, and said Commission has recommended
approval of said Amendment Application; and
WHEREAS, The City Council regularly held a public hearing, on
notice, and does now find that the public necessity, convenience and
general welfare require the following amendment, and that the use
under the new classification will not be detrimental to surrounding
property.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Beginning at a point on the Easterly boundary of the Santa
Aha River located 200 feet, more or less, Southerly from
the center line of Seventeenth Street; thence Easterly along
a line approximately parallel to the center line of Seven-
teenth Street for a distance of 570 feet, more or less, to
the Westerly boundary of King Street~ thence Southwesterly
continuing along the Westerly boundary of King Street to a
point located 235 feet, more or less, Southerly from the
center line of Seventeenth Street; thence Westerly along a
line approximately parallel to the center line of Seventeenth
Street for a distance of 572 feet, more or less, to the
Easterly boundary of the Santa Ana River; thence Northeasterly
continuing along the Easterly boundary of the Santa Aha River
to the point of beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the R-1 District to the C-1 District and
Sectional District Map 11-5-10 (Exhibit AA 358 A) is hereby amended
to show said reclassification.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect thirty days from
and after the date of its adoption.

Ana at its regular meeting held on the £1st day of Ausust , 1961.
