HomeMy WebLinkAboutNS-542ORDINANCE NO. NS-5~ DECLARING THE ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY DESIGNATED "SANTA CLARA AND LINCOLN - N. E. ANNEX" WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha did, on August 21, 1961, declare its intention to annex certain uninhabited territory by Resolution No. 61-207, larly published as required by law, hearing to be held October 2, 1961, held on said notice and on mailed notices which said Resolution was regu- and gave due notice of a public which said hearing was regularly as required by law. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That after due hearing it finds and declares there was no protest to the annexation of the territory herein described; that due notice of the time and place of hearing was given; that said territory was uninhabited at the time said Resolution No. 61-207 was adopted initiating this proceeding and was and is contiguous to the City of Santa Ana; and that said territory shall not be taxed to pay any indebtedness of the City existing at the time of this annexation. SECTION 2. ffhat all of the territory situated in the County of Orange, State of California, described as: Beginning at the intersection of the centerlines of Santa Clara Avenue and Lincoln Avenue, said intersection being an angle point in the existing boundary of the City of Santa Ana, California as established by Ordinance 73, and running thence North along said centerline of Lincoln Avenue and along said City boundary 801.90 feet to the Northwest corner of that certain parcel of land described in deed recorded June 16, 1943 in Book 1194, Page 335, Official Records of Orange County, California, thence East departing from said City boundary along the North line of said land 799.92 feet to the Northeast corner of said land; thence South along the East line of said land 801.90 feet to said centerline of Santa Clara Avenue and to said City boundary as established by said Ordinance 73; thence West along said center line of Santa Clara Avenue and along said City boundary 799.92 feet to the point of beginning, be, and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Santa Aha and to Ward No. 1 in said City, and said annexation is by this Ordinance -1- effected and declared. For the purpose of tax segregation of this territory, the designation that applies is "Santa Ana City - 1957 & 1958 Annexes". SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days from and after the date of its adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 16th day of 0¢tober , 1961.
