SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO CHANGE DISTRICT
CLASSIFICATION ON Ai~ENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 355
AND A~SENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 8-5-9

WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly
held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 353, initiated by
JESSIE OJEDA for a change in District classification from the R-1
District to the C-5 and R-lB Districts, and said Commission has
recommended that the change in District classification be made from
the R-1 District to only the C-5 District and for only that property
involved for a distance of 265 feet Southerly from the center line
of Seventeenth Street; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held public hearings on
notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience and
general welfare require the following amendment, and that the use
under the new classification will not be detrimental to the surrounding
property.
NOW, THEREFORE~ THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That real property in the City of Santa Ana, County
of Orange, State of California, described as:
Beginning at a point where the center line of Seventeenth
Street intersects the center line of Mabury Street; thence
Southerly along the center line of Mabury Street for a
distance of 2~5 feet, more or less; thence Westerly along
a line approximately parallel to the center line of
Seventeenth Street for a distance of 415.4 feet, more or
less; thence Northerly along a line approximately parallel
to the center line of Mabury Street for a distance of
2~5 feet, more or less; to the center line of Seventeenth
Street; thence Easterly along the center line of Seventeenth
Street for a distance of 415.4 feet, more or less, to the
point of beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the R-1 District to the C-5 District, and
Sectional District Map 8-5-9 (Exhibit AA 35~B Corrected) is hereby
amended to show said reclassification.

SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect thirty days from
and after the date of its adoption.
