OF TERRITORY DESIGNATED "FAIRHAVEN AND CAMBRIDGE
SOUTHEAST Ai~EX"
WHEREAS, on February 5, 1962, the City Council of the City of
Santa Aha declared its intention to annex uninhabited territory by
Resolution No. 62-28, which said Resolution was regularly published
as required by law, and gave notice of a protest hearing to be held
March 19, 1962, which hearing was regularly held on said notice and
on mailed notices as required by law; and after final adjournment of
said hearing on protests, it was found and declared by Resolution
NO. 62-61 that a majority protest had not been made.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That it finds and declares that said territory,
hereinbelow described, was uninhabited at the time Resolution
NO. 62-28 was adopted initiating this proceeding, was contiguous to
the City of Santa Ana and shall not be taxed to pay any indebtedness
of the City existing at the time of this annexation.
SECTION 2. That all of the territory situated in the County
of Orange, State of California, and described as:
Beginning at a point on the West line of Lot 16 in
Block "A" of the A. B. CHAPMAN TRACT as surveyed by
Frank Lecouvreur in December 1870 and shown on a map
thereof recorded in Book 102, Page 15, Miscellaneous
Maps, Records of Orange County, California, said point
being North 999 feet, more or less, from the Southwest
corner of said Lot 16, said point also being an angle
point in the City boundary of the City of Santa Ana,
Californi~ as established by the "Seventeenth and Mabury
North Annex", Ordinance NS-541, to said City of Santa
Ana; running thence West along said City boundary and
along the South line of a one acre tract conveyed by
Frank S. Buchheim to Aaron Buchheim by deed recorded in
Book 23, Page 241, Deeds, Records of said Orange County
830 feet, more or less, to the East line of Tract
Number 3741, as shown on a map thereof recorded in
Book 136, Pages 43 and 44, Miscellaneous Maps, Records
of said Orange county, and to the East line of the West
one-half of the Davenport Tract in Block "A" of said
A. B. CHAPMAN TRACT and to an angle point in said City
boundary; thence North 00° 01' 55" West along the East

line of said '~ract Number 3741 and along said City boundary,
as established by the "TW~£IETHAND LYON ANNE~f", Ordinance
NS-490, a distance of 50.49 feet, more or less, to the
Northeast corner of said Tract Number 3741 and to the South-
east corner of Tract Number 4167, as shown on a map thereof
recorded in Book 148, Pages 40 and 41, Miscellaneous Mapsg
Records of said Orange County; thence continuing North 00
01' 55" West along said East line of said Tract Number 4167,
and along said City boundary, as established by the "TWENTY-
FIRST AND LYON N. W. ANNEX", Ordinance NS-532, a distance of
528 feet, more or less, to.the Northeast corner of said Tract
Number 4167; thence North 00° 01' 55" West, departing from
said City boundary, along said East line of the West one-half
of said Davenport Tract, 1055.76 feet, more or less, to the
Northeast corner of said West one-half of said Davenport
Tract and to the center line of Santa Clara Avenue as shown on
a map of survey recorded in Book 32, Page 38, Record of Surveys,
in the Office of the County Recorder of said Orange County;
thence North 89° 59' 43" East along said center line of Santa
Clara Avenue, 7.63 feet, more or less, to a point North 89°
59' 43" East, S35.88 feet from the intersection of the center
lines of said Santa Clara Avenue and Wright Street, as shown
on said record of survey map recorded in Book 32, Page 38,
Record of Surveys; thence North 00° 03' 01" West, 2,199.10
feet to a point on the South line of Fairhaven Avenue, 60 feet
wide, said point being North 89° 56' 55" East, 979.33 feet
and South 00° 03' 05" East, 30 feet, from the Northwest corner
of the A. Green Lot, as shown on said map of survey recorded
in Book 32, Page 38, Record of Surveys;, thence North 89° 58'
00" East along said South line of said Fairhaven Avenue,
37.02 feet, more or less, to its intersection with the
SoutherlY prolongation of the East line of Cambridge Street,
60 feet wide; thence North along said Southerly prolongation
and along said East line of said Cambridge Street, 1,350 feet,
more or less, to a point in the North line of Lot 15, in
Block "D", of said A. B. CHAPMA~ TRACT and to a point in the
existing City boundary of the City of Orange, California, as
established by "ANNEXATION NUMBER 152", annexed by Ordinance
Number 12-61, said point being 30 feet East from the Northwest
corner of said Lot 15; thence East along said North line of
said Lot 15 and along said City boundary of Orange, 1,290 feet,
more or less, to the Northeast corner of said Lot 15; thence
South, departing from said City boundary of Orange, along the
East line of said Lot 15 a distance of 1,090 feet, more or
less, to a point 230 feet North of the Southeast corner of
said Lot 15; thence South 89° 58' 00" West parallel with the
South line of said Lot 15 a distance.of 75 feet; thence South
parallel with the East line of said Lot 15 a distance of 260
feet, more or less, to the South line of said Fairhaven Avenue,
as shown on said map of survey recorded in Book 32, Page 38,
Record of Surveys; thence North 89° 58' 00" East along said
South line of Fairhaven Avenue, 318 feet, more or less, to a
point North 89° 58' 00" East, 591.20 feet and South 00° 02'
00" East, 30 feet from the Northwest corner of Lot 1 of said
A. B. CHAPMAN TRACT; thence South 00° 10' 15" East, 496.11
feet; thence North 89° 58' 00" East, 243.00 feet to the East
line of the West one-half of said Lot 1; thence South 00° 10'
15" East along the East line of the West one-half of said Lot
1 and along the East line of the West one-half of Lot 8 of
said A. B. CHAPMAN TRACT, 1,678 feet, more or less, to the
North line of said Santa Clara Avenue, 50 feet wide; thence
West along the North line of said Santa Clara Avenue, 1,396
feet, more or less, to its intersection with the Northerly
prolongation of the West line of that certain parcel of land

conveyed by Frank C. Latham and Nelda U. Latham to Eddy
Meredith by deed recorded June 7, 1961 in Book 5746,
Page 388, Official Records of said Orange County; thence
South along said Northerly prolongation and along said
West line of said parcel of land 1,073.08 feet, more or
less, to the North line of that 11.17 acre parcel of land,
as shown on a map of survey recorded in Book 8, Page 9,
Record of Surveys, in the Office of the County Recorder
of said Orange County; thence South 89° 43' East along
said North line of said 11.17 acre parcel of land, 415.14
feet, more or less, to the Northeast corner of said 11.17
acre parcel of land and to the West line of Lot 9 in
Block "A" of said A. B. CHAPFa~N TRACT; thence South
00° 11, 30" West along said West line of said Lot 9, a
distance of 272.42 feet, more or less, to the Southwest
corner of said Lot 9 and to the Northwest corner of said
Lot 16 and to an angle point in said boundary of the City
of Santa Ana as established by the "Seventeenth and Mabury
N. E. Annex", Ordinance NS-494; thence South along said
City boundary and along said West line of Lot 16, a
distance of 311.10 feet, more or less, to the point of
beginning,
be, and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Santa Ana and to
Ward No. 1 in said City, and said annexation is by this Ordinance
effected and declared. For the purpose of tax segregation of this
territory, the designation that applies is "Santa Ana City - 1957
and 1958 Annexes".
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect thirty days from
and after the date of its adoption.

Ana at its regular meeting held on the
