OF TERRITORY DESIGNATED "FAIRHAVEN AND CAMBRIDGE
NORTHWEST ANNEX"
WHEREAS~ on May 7, 1962, ~he City Council of the City of Santa
Ana declared its intention to annex uninhabited territory by Resolution
No. 62-87, which said Resolution was regularly published as required
by law, and gave notice of a protest hearing to be held June 18, 1962,
which hearing was regularly held on said notice and on mailed notices
as required by law; and after final adjournment of said hearing on
protests, it was found and declared by Resolution No. 62-112 that a
majority protest had not been made.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That it finds and declares that said territory,
hereinbelow described, was uninhabited at the time Resolution
No. 62-87 was adopted initiating this proceeding, was contiguous to
the City of Santa Aha and shall not be taxed to pay any indebtedness
of the City existing at the time of this annexation.
SECTION 2: That all of the territory situated in the County
of Orange, State of California, and described as:
Beginning at a point on the North line of Lot 15 in Block "D"
of the A. B. Chapman Tract as surveyed by Frank Lecouvreur in
December 1870 and shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 102,
Page 15, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County,
California, said pOint being East 30 feet from the Northwest
corner of said Lot 15, said point also being on the East line
of cambridge Street, 60 feet wide, said point also being on
the existing boundary of the City of Orange, california as
established by "Annexation Number 152", ordinance Number 12-61,
said point also.being an angle point in the boundary of the
"Fairhaven and Cambridge Southeast Annex" to the City of Santa
Ana, California; thence South along saidEast line of Cambridge
Street and its Southerly prolongation and along the boundary of
said "Fairhaven and Cambridge Southeast Annex", 1350 feet,
more or less, to a point on the South line of Fairhaven Avenue,
60 feet wide, and to an angle point in the boundary of said
"Fairhaven and cambridge Southeast Annex"; thence South
89° 58' 00" West along said South line of Fairhaven Avenue
and along the boundary of said "Fairhaven and cambridge South-
east Annex", 37.02 feet, more or less, to an angle point in

the boundary of said "Fairhaven and Cambridge Southeast
Annex#; thence 89° 56! 55" West, departing from the
boundary of said "Fairhaven and Cambridge Southeast Annex,"
along the South line of said Fairhaven Avenue 1312.98 feet,
more or less, to its intersection with the Southerly pro-
longation of the West line of Lot 14 in Block "D" of said
A. B. Chal~nan Tract, said West line also being the East line
of Lot 13 in Block "D" of said A. E. Chapman Tract; thence
continuing South 89~ 56' 55" West along the South line of
said Fairhaven Avenue 5.5 feet to its intersection with the
Southerly prolongation of a line which is 5.5 feet West of and
parallel with the East line of said Lot 13; thence North
along said Southerly prolongation and along said parallel line
1350 feet, more or less, to a point on the North line of said
Lot 13, said point being on the existing boundary of the City
of Orange as established by "Annexation Number 10"t and
adopted by Resolution Number.893; thence East along said
boundary of the city of Orange and along the North line of
said Lot 13, 5.5 feet, to the Northeast corner of said Lot 13
and to the Northwest corner of said Lot 14; thence East,
departing from said boundary of the City of Orange, along the
North line of said Lot 14, 1290 feet, more or less, to an
angle point in the existing boundary of the City of Orange,
as establishedby said "Annexation Number 152"; thence
continuing along the North line of said Lot 14 and along said
boundary of the City of Orange, 30 feet, to the Northeast
corner of said Lot 14 and to the Northwest corner of said
Lot 15; thence continuing along said boundary of the City of
Orange and along the North line of said Lot 15, 30 feet, to
the point of beginning,
be, and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Santa Aha and to
Ward No. 1 in said City, and said annexation is by this Ordinance
effected and declared. For the purpose of tax segregation of this
territory, the designation that applies is "Santa Ana City - 1957
and 1958 Annexes".
SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall take effect thirty days from
and after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 2nd day of Jul~ , 1962.
