N~591 AMENDING ARTICLE IX OF THE SANTA ANAMUNICIPAL CODE TO CHANGE DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 394 AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAPS 18-5-9 (EXHIBIT AA 394 A) AND 19-5-9 (EXHIBIT AA 394 A) WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 394, initiated by said Commission to add the "B" suffix to the existing R-2 and Districts and said Commission has reco~nended approval of said Amendment Application; and WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience and general welfare require the following amendment and that the use under the new classifications will not be detrimental to the surround- ing property. ORDAIN County NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the real property in the City of Santa Ana of Orange, State of California, described as: PARCEL 1: Beginning at a point where the center line of Hobart Street intersects the Center line of Cypress Avenue; thence Westerly along the center line of Hobart Street for a distance of 199 feet, more or less; thence Northerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Main Street for a distance of 2180 feet, more or less, to the center line of Cubbon Street; thence Easterly along the center line of cubbon Street for a distance of 9 feet, more or less; thence Northerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Main Street for a distance of 205 feet, more or less; thence Easterly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Cubbon Street for a distance of 52 feet, more or less; thence Northerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Main Street for a distance of 226 feet, more or less; thence Westerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Cubbon Street for a distance of 52 feet, more or less; thence Northerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Main Street for a distance of 516 feet, more or less; thence Easterly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Cubbon Street for a distance of 18 feet, more or less; thence Northerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Main Street for a distance of 156 feet, more or less; thence Westerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Bishop Street for a distance of 7 feet, more or less; thence Northerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Main Street for a distance of 180 feet, more or less, to the center line of Bishop Street; thence Westerly -1- along the center line of Bishop Street for a distance of 9 feet, more or less; thence Northerly along a lane approximately parallel to the center line of Main Street for a distance of 1615.2 feet, more or less; thence Easterly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Walnut Street for a distance of 199 feet, more Or less, to the center line of Cypress Avenue; thence Southerly along the center line of Cypress Avenue for a distance of 5078.2 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning; ~.ARCEL 2: Beginning at a point where the center line of Warner Avenue intersects the center line of Cypress Avenue; thence Westerly along the center line of Warner Avenue for a distance of 205.9 feet, more or less; thence Northerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Main Street for a distance of 665 feet, more or less, to~ the center line of Anahurst Place; thence Easterly along the center line of Anahurst Place for a distance of 72 feet, more or less; thence Northerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Main Street for a distance of 214.4 feet, more or less; thence Westerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of St. Gertrude Place for a distance of 78 feet, more or less; thence Northerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Main Street for a distance of 1826.9 feet, more or less; thence Westerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Occidental Street for a distance of 30 feet, more or less; thence Northerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Main Street for a distance of 1343.8 feet, more or less, to the center line of Edinger Avenue; thence Easterly along the center line of Edinger Avenue for a distance of 43.5 feet, more or less; thence Northerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Main Street for a distance of 988.8 feet, more or less, to the center line of Hobart Street; thence Easterly continuing along the center line of Hobart Street for a distance of 199 feet, more or less, to the center line of Cypress Avenue; thence Southerly continuing along the center line of Cypress Avenue for a distance of 2033.6 feet, more or less; thence Westerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Berkeley Street for a distance of 188 feet, more or less; thence Southerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Main Street for a distance of 150 feet, more or less, to the center line of Occidental Street; thence Easterly continuing along the center line of Occidental Street for a distance of 188 feet, more or less, to the center line of Cypress Avenue; thence Southerly, continuing along the center line of Cypress Avenue for a distance of 2855.3 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning, is hereby reclassified from the R-2 and R-3 Districts to the R-2B and the R-3B Districts by adding the "B" suffix to the existing R-2 and R-3 Districts, and Sectional District Maps 18-5-9 (Exhibit AA 394 A, sheet %1) and 19-5-9 (Exhibit AA 394 A, Sheet %2) are hereby amended to show said reclassifications. SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days from and after the date of its adoption. -2- PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 2nd day of July , 1962.
