SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO CHANGE DISTRICT
CLASSIFICATION ON Ai~ENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 400
AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT ~P 2-5-10
(EXHIBIT AA 400 B)
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly
held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 400, initiated by
STATE FARMMUTUAL AUTOMOBILE INSURANCE CO. for a change in District
classification from the R-1 to the P District, and said Commission
has recommended that said Amendment Application be denied as requested,
but has recommended that the property involved be reclassified from
the R-1 District to the R-lB and P Districts in accordance with
Exhibit AA 400 B; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on
notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience and
general welfare require the following amendment and that the use under
the new classifications will not be detrimental to the surrounding
property.
NOW, THEPd~FORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That real property in the City of Santa Ana, County
of Orange, State of California, described as follows:
Parcel 1: Beginning at a point where a line 161 feet
Northerly of the center line of Seventeenth Street inter-
sects the center line of College Avenue; thence Northerly
along aline approximately parallel to. the center line of
Alona Street for a distance of 871.3 feet, more or less;
thence Westerly along a line approximately parallel to the
center line of Seventeenth Street for a distance of 360 feet,
more or less; thence Southerly along a line approximately
parallel to the center line of Alona Street for a distance
of 871.3 feet, more or less; thence Easterly along a line
approximately parallel to the center line of Seventeenth
Street for a distance of 360 feet, more or less, to the
point of beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the R-1 District to the P District, and
Sectional District Map 2-5-10 (Exhibit AA 400 B) is hereby amended
to show said reclassification.

SECTION 2: That real property in the City of Santa Ana, County
of Orange, State of California, described as follows:
~arcel 2: Beginning at the Southwest corner of Parcel 1 as
described hereinabove; thence Westerly along a line approxi-
mately parallel to the center line of Seventeenth Street for
a distance of 40 feet, more or less; thence Northerly along
a line approximately parallel to the center line of Alona
Street for a distance of 911.3 feet, more or less; thence
Easterly along a line approximately parallel to the center
line of Seventeenth Street for a distance of 400 feet, more
or less; thence Southerly along a line approximately parallel
to the center line of Alona Street for a distance of 40 feet,
more or less; thence Westerly along a line approximately
parallel to the center line of Seventeenth Street for a
distance of 360 feet, more or less, the same being the
Northerly boundary of Parcel 1 as described hereinabove;
thence Southerly along a line approximately parallel to the
center line of Alona Street for a distance of 871.3 feet,
more or less, the same being the Westerly boundary of
Parcel 1 as described hereinabove, to the point of beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the R-1 District to the R-lB District,
and Sectional District Map 2-5-10, (Exhibit AA 400 B) is hereby
amended to show said reclassification.
SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall take effect thirty days from
and after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Aha at its regular meeting held on the 17th day of September, 1962.

Council of the City of Santa Ana, California; that the foregoing
Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of
said City held on the 4th day of September, 1962, and was again con-
sidered by said Council at its regular meeting held on the 17th day
of September, 1962, and at said meeting was regularly passed and
adopted by said Council by the following vote, to-wit:
