NS-616 AMENDING ARTICLE IX OF THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO CHANGE DISTRICT CLASSI- FICATION ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION 410 AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 12-5-10 (EXHIBIT AA 410 A) WHEREAS, the Planning Cc~mmission has given notice of and duly held a public hearing on Amendment Application 410, initiated by said Commission for a change in District classification from the R-2 District to the R-3B and R-3BH Districts, and said C~%~ission has recommended approval of said Application; and WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience and general welfare require the following amendment and that the use under the new classifications will not be detrimental to the surrounding property; and NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Aha, County of Orange, State of California, described as: Parcel 1: Beginning at a point on the center line of Flower Street located 143.7 feet, more or less, Northerly from that point where the center line of Flower Street intersects the center line of Eighth Street; thence Easterly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Eighth Street for a distance of 103.5 feet, more or less; thence Northerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Flower Street for a distance of 619.3 feet, more or less, to the center line of Tenth Street; thence Westerly along the center line of Tenth Street for a distance of 103.5 feet, more or less, to that point where the center line of Tenth Street intersects the center line of Flower Street; thence Westerly along the center line of Tenth Street for a distance of 137.3 feet, more or less; thence Southerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Flower Street for a distance of 763 feet, more or less, to the center line of Eighth Street; thence Easterly along the center line of Eighth Street for a distance of 137.3 feet, more or less, to that point where the center line of Eighth Street intersects the center line of Flower Street; thence Northerly along the center line of Flower Street for a distance of 143.7 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning, is hereby reclassified from the R-2 District to the R-3B District, and Sectional District M~p 12-5-10 (Exhibit AA 410 A) is hereby amended to show said reclassification. -1- SECTION 2: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as: Parcel 2: Beginning at the Southeast corner of Parcel 1 as hereinabove described, the same being 103.5 feet, more or less, Easterly frown the center line of Flower Street and 143.7 feet, more or less, Northerly from the center line of Eighth Street; thence Easterly along a line approxi- mately parallel to the center line of Eighth Street for a distance of 135 fe~t, more or less, to the center line of Garnsey Street; thence Northerly along the center line of Garnsey Street for a distance of 45.8 feet, more or less, to the center line of an alley; thence Easterly along the center line of said alley for a distance of 644 feet, more or less, to the center line of Van Ness Avenue; thence Easterly along 'a line approximately parallel to the center line of Eighth Street for a distance of 160 feet, more or less, to the center line of an alley; thence Southerly along the center line of said alley for a distance of 9 feet, more or less; thence Easterly along a line approxi- mately parallel to the center line of Eighth Street for a distance of 165 feet, more or less, to the center line of Ross Street; thence Northerly along the center line of Ross Street for a distance of 582 feet, more or less, to the point where the center line of Ross Street intersects the center line of Tenth Street; thence Westerly along the center line of Tenth Street for a distance of 1104 feet, more or less; thence Southerly along a line approximately parallel to the center line of Flower Street for a distance of 619.3 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning, is hereby reclassified frc~ the R-2 District to the R-3HB District, and Sectional District Map 12-5-10 (Exhibit AA 410 A) is hereby amended to show said reclassification, SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall take effect thirty days from and after the date of its adoption.
