NS - 6~0 REGULATING SOLICITATION OF PASSENGERS IN COMMON CARRIER TERMINALS THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: That Section 6388 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 6388. Solicitation of Passenqers. No driver shall solicit passengers for a taxicab except when seated in the driver's compartment of such cab, or while standing immediately adjacent to the curb side thereof, and no taxicab shall park upon the street of the City while the driver solicits passengers. No taxicab driver, or other person, shall solicit patronage in the terminal of any other common carrier, or in the streets within 100 feet of such terminal, or at any regular pickup point of any other carrier without written permission from the person operating such terminal or carrier. No taxicab stand shall be provided upon the streets of the city. No ambulance shall solicit passengers at the scene of any accident unless the same has been summoned by telephonic communication, and no ambulance shall go to the scene of any accident by reason of monitoring shortwave police calls. SECTION 2: This Ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days frcan and after the date of its adoption.
