WHEREAS, the Planning Con~ission has given notice of and duly
held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 428, filed by
BURGRAF COi4PANY, INC. for a change in District classification fr~m
the R-3 District to the C-2 District; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission finds the applicant's
development proposals in line with the C-5 District rather than the
C-2 District and recommends approval of said change in accordance
with Exhibit AA 428 C; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on
notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience and
general welfare require the following amendment and that the use
under the new classification will not be detrimental to the
surrounding property.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: '£hat the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Beginning at a point where the center line of East First
Street intersects the boundary line of the City of Santa
Ana; thence Southerly along the Santa Ana City boundary
line for a distance of 363.5 feet, more or less; thence
Easterly along the Santa Ana City boundary line for a
distance of 154 feet, more or less, to the Newport Freeway
right of way; thence Southwesterly along the Newport
Freeway right of way for a distance of 294.8 feet, more or
less; thence Westerly along the Santa Ana City boundary
line for a distance of 268.6 feet, more or less; thence
Northerly along the Santa Ana City boundary line and to
the center line of East First Street for a distance of
602.3 feet, more or less; thence Easterly along the center
line of East First Street for a distance of 171 feet, more
or less, to the Santa Ana City boundary line and the point
of beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the R-3 District to the C-5 District and
Sectional District Map 17-5-9 (Exhibit AA 428 C) is hereby amended
to show said reclassification.
SECTION 2: 'fhis Ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days
from and after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 6th day of May, 1963.

sidered by said Council at its regular meeting held on the 6th day
of May, 1963, and at said meeting was regularly passed and adopted
by said Council by the following vote, to-wit:
