SANTA ANAMUNICIPAL CODE TO CHANGE DISTRICT
CLASSIFICATION ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION
NO. 448 AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP
17-5-9 (EXHIBIT AA 448 A)
WHEREAS, the Planning Conunission has given notice of and duly
held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 448, filed by
CARL C. HILLGREN for a change in District classifications from the
R-1 and M-1 Districts to the R-4 District, and said Commission has
recommended denial of said reclassification; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on
notice and does now find th~athe Planning Commission should be
overruled; that public necessity, convenience and general welfare
require the following amendment, and that the use under the new
classification will not be detrimental to the surrounding property.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Beginning at that point where the center line of Warren Street
intersects the center line of Lyon Street; thence Southerly
along the center line of Lyon Street and along the Santa Ana
City Boundary for a distance of 1073.7 feet, more or less;
thence Westerly along a line approximately parallel to the
center line of Warren Street for a distance of 609.4 feet,
more or less, to the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad
Right of Way; thence Northwesterly along said Railroad Right
of Way for a distance of 403.6 feet, more or less; thence
Northerly along a line approximately parallel to the center
line of Lyon Street for a distance of 816 feet, more or less,
to the center line of Warren Street; thence Easterly along
the center line of Warren Street for a distance of 920 feet,
more or less, to the point of beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the R-1 and M-1 Districts to the R-4
District, and Sectional District Map 17-5-9 is hereby amended to
show said reclassifications in accordance with Exhibit AA 448 A.
SECTION 2: This Ordinance shall take effect thirty days
from and after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 17t~ day of June, 1963.

I, DORIS M. BROWN, do hereby certify that I am the Clerk of
the Council of the City of Santa Ana, California; that the foregoing
Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of
said City held on the 3rd day of June, 1963, and was again considered
by said Council at its regular meeting held on the 17th day of June,
1963, and at said meeting was regularly passed and adopted by said
Council by the following vote, to-wit:

NOES, COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT, COUNCILMEN: Hall
