HomeMy WebLinkAboutNS-672ORDINANCE NS-672 AUTHORIZING AMENDMENT TO THE CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AND THE BOARD OF ADMINISTRATION OF THE CALIFORNIA STATE EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM WHEREAS, heretofore, the City of Santa Aha entered into a contract providing for participation in the State Employees' Retirement System, and it has now decided to amend the same. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: That an amendment to the contract now existing between the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, California, and the BOARD OF ADMINISTRATION, CALIFORNIA STATE EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM is hereby authorized to include in said contract the provisions of Government Code Section 20804.5 and to provide for amendment to Sub-paragraph 8 of said contract, a copy of said amendment being attached hereto, marked "E)G~IBIT A", and by such reference made a part hereof as though herein set out in full. SECTION 2: That the Mayor and the Clerk of the Council are hereby authorized, empowered and directed to execute and attest, respectively, said amendment for and on behalf of said City and the City Council thereof. SECTION 3: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days from and after the date of its adoption. SECTION 4: That the amendment to the contract herein provided for shall take effect on the 1st day of September, 1963. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 15th day of July, 1963.
