HomeMy WebLinkAboutNS-682ORDINANCE NS-682 DECLARING THE ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY DESIGNATED "SANTA CLARA AND TUSTIN N. E. ANNE~" Wt{EREAS, on June 17th, 1963, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana declared its intention to annex uninhabited territory by Resolution 63-112, which said Resolution was regularly published as required by law and gave notice of a protest hearing to be held August 5th, 1963, which hearing was regularly held; and after final adjournment of said hearing on protests, it was found and declared by Resolution 63-135 that a majority protest had not been made. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: That it finds and declares that said territory hereinhelow described was uninhabited at the time Resolution 63-112 was adopted initiating this proceeding; was contiguous to the City of Santa Aha, and shall not be taxed to pay any indebtedness of the City existing at the time of this annexation. SECTION 2: That all of the territory in the County of Orange, State of California, and described as: Beginning at the intersection of the South line of Santa Clara Avenue with the West line of Tustin Avenue said point being 25.00 feet South and 30.00 feet West of the Southwest corner of Lot 5 in Block "B" of the A. B. Chapman Tract as surveyed by Frank Lecouvreur in December, 1870 and shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 102, Page 15, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California; and running thence North 0° 53' 22" East, 685.00 feet along the West line of Tustin Avenue to the Westerly extension of the North line of the South One-half (S ~) of said Lot 5, said West line of Tustin Avenue being 30.00 feet West, measured at right angles from the center line of Tustin Avenue; thence South 88° 57' 07" East 1,350.30 feet along said Westerly extension and along said North line to a point on the East line of said Lot 5 and to a point in the City boundary of the City of Tustin as established by Tustin City Ordinance No. 145; thence South 0° 53' 22" West 750.30 feet along the East line of Lot 5 and along said Tustin City boundary to an angle point in the existing boundary of the City of Santa Ana as established by ordinance No. NS-606; thence departing from said Tustln City boundary and running along said Santa Ana boundary the following five bearings and courses: North 85° 58' 36" West 160.88 feet; thence North 82° 39' 05" West 154.94 feet; thence North 85° 30' 20" West 249.45 feet; thence North 1° 02' 53" East 25.00 feet to a point on the South line of Santa Clara Avenue, said South line being 25.00 feet South, measured at right antles from the center line of said Santa Clara Avenue; thence North 88° 57' 07" West 126.00 feet more or less along said South line of Santa Clara Avenue to an angle point in said Santa Aha City boundary; thence departing from said Santa Ana boundary and continuing along said South line of Santa Clara Avenue North 88° 57' 07" West 663.00 feet more or less to the point of beginning, be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Santa Aha and to Ward No. 1 in the said City, and said annexation is by this Ordinance effected and declared. For the purpose of tax segregation of this territory, the designation that applies is "Santa Ana City - 1957 and 1958 Annexes". SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall take effect thirty days from and after the date of its adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 19th day of August, 1963.
