SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO CHANGE DISTRICT
CLASSIFICATION ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION
NO. 461 AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP
24-5-10 (EXHIBIT AA 461 A) WHERE THE PLANNING
COMMISSION RECOMMENDED DENIAL
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has given notice of and duly
held a public hearing on Amendment Application No. 461, filed by
HARRY L. BOUCHIER for a change in District classification from the
R-1 and R-3 Districts to the C-2 District, and said Commission has
recommended denial of applicant's proposal; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing on
notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience and
general welfare require that the Planning Commission be overruled and
that the property in question be reclassified from the R-1 and R-3
Districts to the C-2 District, and that the use under the new classi-
fication will not be detrimental to the surrounding property.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Beginning at a point on the center line of Warner Avenue
located 493 feet, more or less, westerly from that point
where the center line of Warner Avenue intersects the
center line of Main Street; thence northerly along a line
approximately parallel to the center line of Main Street
for a distance of 460 feet, more or less, to the center line
of Broadway Place; thence Northwesterly along the center
line of Broadway Place for a distance of 220 feet, more or
less, to the center line of Broadway; thence southerly along
the center line of Broadway for a distance of 290 feet, more
or less; thence westerly along a line approximately parallel
to the center line of Warner Avenue for a distance of 685
feet, more or less; thence southerly along a line approxi-
mately parallel to the center line of Main Street for a
distance of 332 feet, more or less, to the center line of
Warner Avenue; thence easterly along the center line of
Warner Avenue for a distance of 860 feet, more or less, to
the point of beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the R-1 and R-3 Districts to the C-2
District, and Sectional District Map 24-5-10 is hereby amended to
show said reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 461 A.
SECTION 2; This Ordinance shall take effect thirty days from
and after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 3rd day of September, 1963.
