TERRITORY DESIGNATED "BRISTOL STREET AND
GARDEN GROVE FREEWAY SOUTHEAST ANNEX"
WHEREAS, on August 5th, 1963, the City Council of the City
of Santa Aha declared its intention to annex uninhabited territory
by Resolution 63-137, which said Resolution was regularly published
as required by law and gave notice of a protest hearing to be held
September 16th, 1963, which hearing was regularly held; after final
adjournment of said hearing on protests it was found and declared
by Resolution 63-156 that a majority protest had not been made.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That it finds and declares that said territory
hereinbelow described was uninhabited at the time Resolution 63-137
was adopted initiating this proceeding; was contiguous to the City
of Santa Aha, and shall not be taxed to pay any indebtedness of the
City existing at the time of this annexation.
SECTION 2: That all of the territory situated in the County
of Orange, State of California, and described as:
commencing at the center line intersection of Memory Lane
(Garden Grove Boulevard) and Bristol Street, said center
line intersection being the Southwest corner of Lot 14 of
the Ports, Borden and Sidwell Tract as shown on a map
thereof recorded in Book 4, Page 624, Miscellaneous Records
of LOS Angeles County, California, and running thence North
0° 14' 50" East along the center line of said Bristol Street,
as said center line was established by a deed conveyed to
the County of Orange, recorded in Book 2750, Page 366,
Official Records of Orange County, a distance of 535.92 feet
to the intersection of said center line of Bristol Street
with the existing City boundary of the City of Santa Ana, as
said boundary was established by the "Bristol Street and
Memory Lane N. Annex", Ordinance No. NS 479, to the City of
Santa Ana, and to the true Point of beqinnin~; thence along
the following eleven courses which are along the existing
City of Santa Aha boundary; thence South 89v 53' 50" East,
a distance of 587.78 feet to the West line of the "Memory
Lane and Baker North No. 2 Annex", Ordinance No. NS 451, to
said City; thence North 0~ 01' 50" East along said West line
a distance of 64.08 feet to the North line of said "Memor~
Lane and Baker Street North No. 2 Annex"; thence South 89v
53' 50" East along said North line and along the North line
of the "Memory Lane and Westwood North Annex", Ordinance
NS 568, to said City, a distance of 738.00 feet to the West
line of the "Spurgeon Memorial Annex", Ordinance No. NS 111,
to said City, and to the East line of said Lot 14; thence
North 0° 01' 50" East along said East line of said Lot 14, a
distance of 60.98 feet to the North line of said "Spurgeon
Memorial Annex"; thence South 89° 59' 55" East along said
last mentioned North line and along the North line of the
"Christesen Annexation", Ordinance No. NS 32, to said City,
a distance of 1,146.43 feet, more or less, to the West line
of the "North Flower Addition" annexation, Ordinance No. 874,
said West line being 180.00 feet West, measured at right
angles, fr~ the monumented center line of Flower Street,
said North line of the "Christesen Annexation" being the
North line of Tract No. 2089, as shown on a map thereof
recorded in Book 60, Pages 6, 7, and 8, Miscellaneous Maps,
Records of Orange County, California; thence North 00 12' 40"
West along said last mentioned West line a distance of 660.95
feet, more or less, to the South line of the "Schulman
Annexation", Ordinance No. NS 18, to said City, said South
line being the South line of Lot 15 of said Potts, Borden
and Sidwell Tract, and said South line being the South line
of Tract No. 1939, as shown on a map thereof recorded in
Book 65, Pages 10, 11, and 12, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of
Orange County, California; thence South 89° 48' 30" West
along the last mentioned South line a distance of 1,523.64
feet, more or less, to the Southwest corner of Lot 16 of said
Ports, Borden and Sidwell Tract, and to the West line of said
"Schulman Annexation" and to the West line of said Tract 1939;
thence North 0° 00' 40" East along the last mentioned West
line a distance of 662.30 feet to the North line of said
"Schulman Annexation", and to the Northwest corner of said
Tract No. 1939, said corner also being the Northwest corner
of said Lot 16, and to a point on the South line of the
"Freeway Annex", Ordinance No. NS 123, to City; thence North
89° 53' 20" West along said last mentioned South line, a
distance of 862.62 feet, more or less, to the Southwest
corner of Lot 20 of said Ports, Borden and Sidwell Tract;
thence North 10° 50' 00" East along the West line of said
Lot 20 and along the West line of said "Freeway Annex" a
distance of 673.94 feet to the common corner of Lots 20, 22,
28, and 29 of said Ports, Borden and Sidwell Tract; thence
North 0° 49' 23" West along the West line of said Lot 29, a
distance of 340~feet, more or less, to the Southeast line of
that certain parcel of land described in a deed to the Orange
County Flood Control District, recorded June 2, 1960, in
Book 5270, Page 92, Official Records of Orange County,
California, said Southeast line being parallel with and 315.00
feet Southeast, measured at right angles, frcan the center line
of that certain easement conveyed to the County of Orange
May 25, 1932, and recorded in Book 557, Page 264 of said
Official Records; thence departing from said City boundary,
as established by said "Freeway Annex" and running South
23° 40' 40" West, more or less, along said Southeast line a
distance of 360 feet, more or less, to a point on the North
line of said Lot 28, said point being the most Southeast
corner of said parcel of land to the Orange County Flood
Control District; thence North 89° 58' 20" West along said
last mentioned North line a distance of 25.00 feet, more or
less, to that certain line as described in a deed to the
Orange County Flood Control DistrAct recorded in Book 5726,
page 405 of said Official Records; thence South 23° 38' 50"
West along said last mentioned line a distance of 831.70
feet, more or less, to an angle point in the existing City
boundary as established by the "Bristol Street and Garden
Grove Freeway S.W. Annex", Ordinance No. NS 665, to said
City and to a point on a non-tangent curve, concave North-
easterly having a radius of 180.00 feet, the radial to said
curve at said angle point bears North 70° 05' 19" East; thence
along the following seven courses which are along the existing
City of Santa Ana boundary; thence Southeast along said
existing City boundary and along said last mentioned non-
tangent curve through a central angle of 69° 50' 28" an arc
distance of 219.41 feet to a tangent line; thence South
89° 45' 09" East along said tangent line a distance of 138.59
feet to a tangent curve concave Southwesterly and having a
radius of 25.00 feet; thence along said last mentioned tangent
curve through a central angle of 39° 06' 50" an arc distance
of 17.07 feet to a point on a non-tangent curve, said last
mentioned non-tangent curve being concave Easterly and having
a radius of 1,470.00 feet, the radial to said last mentioned
non-tangent curve at said point, bears North 70° 04' 32" West;
thence South along said last mentioned non-tangent curve
through a central angle of 19° 40' 38" an arc distance of
504.85 feet to its intersection with a non-tangent line;

thence South 15° 42' 58" East, a distance of 109.08 feet
to the West line of said Bristol Street as described in
a deed to said County of Orange recorded in said Book 2750;
thence South 0° 14' 50" West along said West line of Bristol
Street, a distance of 609.47 feet to the North line of said
"Bristol and Me~aory Lane N. Annex"; thence South 89° 53' 50"
East along said last mentioned North line. a distance o~
40.00 feet to the true Doint 9f beqinninq,
be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Santa Ana and to
Ward No. 3 in the said City, and said annexation is by this
Ordinance effected and declared. For the purpose of tax segregation
of this territory, the designation that applies is "Santa Ana City -
1957 and 1958 Annexes"
SECTION 3: That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days
fr~m and after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 7th day of October, 1963.
