SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO CHANGE DISTRICT
CLASSIFICATION ON AMENDMENT APPLICATION
NO. 470 AND AMENDING SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP
7-5-9 (EXHIBIT AA 470 B) WHERE THE PLANNING
COMMISSION RECOMMENDED DENIAL
WHEREAS, the Planning Cc~mission has given notice of and
duly held public hearings on Amendment Application No. 470, filed
by DICK A. HORTON for a change in District classification from
the R~2 District to the CM District, and said Planning Commission
has recommended Denial of said change; and
WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing
on notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience
and general welfare require that the Planning Commission be over-
ruled, that the property in question be reclassified from the
R-2 District to the C-M District, and that the use under the new
classification will not be detrimental to the surrounding property.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Aha,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Beginning at a point on the center line of Hathaway Street
located 158 feet, more or less, northerly frown that point
where the center line of First Street intersects the
center line of Hathaway Street; thence easterly along a
line approximately parallel to the center line of First
Street for a distance of 180 feet, more or less; thence
northerly along a line approximately parallel to the
center line of Hathaway Street for a distance of 600 feet,
more or less; thence westerly along a line approximately
parallel to the center line of Fourth Street for a
distance of 360 feet, more or less; thence southerly along
a line approximately parallel to the center line of
Hathaway Street for a distance of 600 feet, more or less;
thence easterly along a line approximately parallel to the
center line of First Street for a distance of 180 feet,
more or less, to the center line of Hathaway Street and
the point of beginning,
is hereby reclassified from the R-2 District to the CM District,
and Sectional District Map 7-5-9 is hereby amended to show said
reclassification in accordance with Exhibit AA 470 B.
SECTION 2: That this ordinance shall take effect thirty days
from and after the date of its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 18th day of November, 1963.
